Professor Program test prep tips?

So I tried to pass the professor program test and was too slow; I did not finish the test in time. Also, it has only been about 3 months I have been doing this thing, mainly for my kids, and there are a lot of tough ruling questions on the test. I did fine on the ones I finished though, but some of them took a bit of rereading to understand – that dyslexia kept kicking in…. perhaps if I was more familiar with every card I would not need to read all the attack/power etc… references and I would be able to breeze through it quicker…

So, who else has taken and passed the test, and what tips do you have for me? I have at least 2 weeks now to spruce up and pass.

One of my best friends has dyslexia. I'm sure you know this already, but he always gets people to read stuff to him when it's "acting up" a lot, including yours truely. Maybe that would help you to save that time.

Good luck with the test.
As for tips...I don't have much, just study, take an educated geuss if you don't know and watch out for trick questions.
Seriously though, I have no tips, just tides of good luck. Have a reader if you can't read all the fine detail. (I know someone who has dyslexia, they can't spell or do numbers, but their reading is fine).

On the SAT you are told to skip questions if it holding you back.

It should most likely be the same formula, but if you know you are pushed for time and are really worried, just quess.

Any of you taken the test?... I was somewhat joking on the Dyslexia-it really does not bother me anymore - not since I was arround 10 (23 years ago) but the point was the reading is a bit intense. I have taken hundreds of tests and normally have time to finish; I think mainly the issue was my lack of experience with odd issues that arrive with pokemon cards and I had to think too much about what made sense. I only got 7 wrong but did not finish the test.

Does anyone have study material advice?

My friend Mike, he is a judge, wrote down all of the questions that he could remember and gave it to me, because I bet him that I could pass the test at age 15. I won the bet, barely. Some tips that I can give you are:

1. Study up on the new erratas on www.pokegym.net as they show up on the test fairly often.
2. Read around in the TCG Question section on the Beach since that gives you a better understanding of some of the more confusing cards.
3. Make sure that you understand all of the ins and outs of specific cards that have had many errata. (Sceptile GE, Azelf LA)
4. Since people have confused the Professor Test with the Judge Test, the Professor test had to incorporate some judging questions. Make sure you understand, Broken Game Play, Chain of events, How to correct BGP, How to give a warning, How to give a prize penalty, and no matter what remember to consult with other judges. All of that is just possible for the test.
5. Remember that PokePowers are optional, and that PokePowers aren't optional.
6. You might want to also give the rule book a look-over.

Good Luck.

Someone at the cities i just went to, who just beat the test, said to study time between the rounds and technical stuff like that.

Good luck. I am pulling for you to pass!
