Which ps3 is better the fat or the slim?

Well for the info I gathered so far.

PS3 Fat
- Able to change the hdd
- Glossy cool design
- Build in fan to reduce heat
- Heavy
- 160GB that come with the PS3
- Cheap

PS3 Slim
- Unable to change the hdd
- Plain plastic finish
- No fan
- Light
- 250GB
- Expensive

I think I missed out some please drop down any comments. Thanks.

Both the PS3 Slim and the 80gb Phat PS3 are the same.

Same price, same memory and same A/V Outputs. The only things that are different is the weight and the Hard drive capacity - the Slim PS3 being able to take 120gb and the Phat only being able to take 80gb.

Never heard of the ''no fan'' and the ''unable to change hdd'' thing. Imo, if there's really no fan, it's probably because it doesn't need one.

Getting one or not is really a question of preference. Some people find the Slim ugly and some people find the phat one ugly. Personally, I own and like the Slim one better simply because it's lighter, which makes it easier to transport it somewhere and there's actual buttons for ''Eject'' and ''Power'' instead of being touch sensors things.

I don't recommend getting a slim one if you already have a phat one, though. Keep the phat one as it is the same thing, really.

Well what I meant for the no fan is that there is less ventilation for the Slim and for the Phat there is a big fan at the back of the console to generate the heat out. Hence, more ventilation.

For the Phat you are able to exchange the current hdd to a higher or lower ones. This is why the phat had a side pocket for HD change. While the Slim you are stuck with the same HD as you bought it.

I personally love the White PS3 Phat. But I couldn't find it anymore.

what are you talking about?

I'd get a 60GB PS3 fat, simply because it has the most features. I dont move my consoles around so I have no dire need for a slim.

I think that "fat" one is better, just because it is original. The smaller one though is good for taking up less space.
