Public or Private?

I go to a public school. Sometimes I'd rather be in a private school, but I wouldn't enjoy uniforms. I would hate it even more if I ended up in a religious school.

Guys, you're assuming all private schools have uniforms.
That's where you are WRONG. The top NY Private schools (Some which are the top 10 of the COUNTRY) do not require uniforms.
Actually, by high school, you're allowed to wear ANYTHING you want as long as it's not too "loose."
So quit assuming and get the facts down.

Public. The only private school that I know of around here is a Catholic school with uniforms...my mom went there from 1st grade until her graduation.

Rivalz is right, I go to a private school and there is no uniform. Now I do require a dress code, which isn't nearly as bad, any Polo shirt you want, and khaki pants. That's it, yeah it sucks, but a private school looks good on a college resume.

I went to a private school, but now I go to a public school. Private school for Kindergarten, and I hated it like crazy (I hated wearing uniforms) so I moved to a public school.

Your mileage may vary, but not all private schools are "superior" to public schools, whether you refer to the dress code, the set of rules, or the curriculum itself. It varies from school to school, and from place to place. Where I come from, like I mentioned in my precedent post, the country's most renowned and revered university is a public school which has a tighter set of policies. But! You still get to wear anything you want that isn't too "revealing".[/publicschoolsaregreat]

I go to a public. I might of gone to a private if our public schools weren't better than the private. If We move to Upper Arlington, things would be different.

Grades K-4: Public
Grades 5-8: Private
Grades 9-12: Public
College: Private

Pretty much know the pros and cons of both, though in the end it kind of all boils down to the city/town you live in and the quality of the schools. In some cities/towns, private schools are preferable due to the sheer lack of money in the public sector, and then in some cities/towns, private schools are simply superfluous due to the high quality of the public schools in the district,

Arguing about which is better, thus, seems a little pointless.

I go to public, I don't think there is any private schools in my area that I know about but i think they would be better.
