You can have it as a trial version for a couple months or so. I got the trial version because the regular version costs a ton. But just google "Microsoft Office 2007 Trial Version download" and something should come up. I don't think there are any other legal ways to get it for free.
I actually find a piece of software called OpenOffice better than Microsoft's Publisher and Word and so forth. It's completely free to download and has everything included in it, aswell as it's own version of Publisher, as long as you install the full package.

I actually find the 2007 versions a bit harder to work just to let you know. I got the trial version and I prefer the old. It takes me a lot longer to get projects done because I have no clue where everything is. In the old one, the layout is more user-friendly at least for me anyways. Amd I'll look into that alternative, Switchback. I never knew there was something else besides Microsoft Office.
