Ruling Question about Item Lock

okay so I just build this stellar Vileplume deck with the release of EP and I like it and it really works for me however with the NV in the game pokemon tools are back Iand I was wondering: does trainer lock block pokemon Tools?

Vileplume will block Trainer Items which means Eviolite and Rugged Helmet will not be able to be played.~Mark

Just to add to that, Any tools like eviolite and rugged helmet that are already in play will stay in play.

Vileplume just prevents any further play of item cards
