Question about sleeves

I would imagine that their either trying to make more money, or some card games require less cards than Pokemon.
If you buy the Official Pokemon sleeves, they do come in 60s.

The answer, almost certainly, is that the people who manufacture card sleeves don't know how many cards go into a deck of Pokémon or that it was designed for some different card game that requires 50 or fewer cards.

I know a lot of Shonen Jump franchise CCGs have 50 cards in a deck. The short-lived Zatch Bell! card game needed 25. Digimon needed 30.

How many cards is there in a Yu-Gi-Oh! deck?

i know what you're talking about, there are those awesome looking sleeves like these (which are undoubtedly for pokemon), that only contain 50. i wouldn't buy two of those just for 10 extra sleeves though, as cool as they look.

Think of Mr. Krabs in the real world. He is eager for money, people are eager for money.

People sell 2 packs instead of 1 for double the price.

Either 40 to infinity or 40-80

Not to forget some bundles with 2 POKEMON packs and 40 card sleeves, half the time each pack of 20 a different color.

It's really because it's not only meant for Pokémon. Do you think the Pokémon versions were sold before the coloured ones (just one colour, I forgot how you call those)? Ofcourse not, and then 50 would probably be a good numebr for most card games. So why would they change the amount of sleeves when they have a different print?

50 is pretty awesome actually. I rather have 40 extra than just 60 when they'll rip. 80 is also just not enough.

That is too bad about prerelease sleeves though. If they rip, it's hard finding a replacement. Like one of my Giratina sleeves...:(
