I'm new with pokemon TCG and I saw the deck list of 2012 TCG World Championship deck Darkrai mewtwo w/ terrakion. I don't quite understand why he use 2 prism energy and 2 fighting energy but not 4 prism energy since all pokemons in the deck are basic?

Not a Rulings question, so I'm going to move this.

The main difference is that Prism Energy is a Special Energy, and thus, you can play an Enhanced Hammer (or Lost Remover) and discard it automatically. Basic Energy can only really be discarded by Crushing Hammer, which has a 50% chance (coin flip) of succeeding.

why would he send his own energy to the lost zone?

what

DNA means that opponents that might have been playing Lost Remover could get rid of his Prism energy, while fighting energy couldn't be Lost Removered away. Of course he wouldn't Lost Remover himself.
