Unown k's pokepower is to remove 2 damage counters from the defending pokemon. Now is my attacking pokemon consider a defending pokemon in which I would remove 2 damage counter from him then....

Whenever a card refers to "the Defending Pokemon," it is ALWAYS referring to 1 of your opponent's Active Pokemon. Your Active Pokemon is referred to as "your Active Pokemon."
Sorry, but the only option is to remove the damage counters from your opponent.

Yes this happened in prerelease at first alot of people thought that your active pokemon.
