Ruling quick question about leafeon lv.x

how would it work if i used double rainbow energy with verdant dance, would it add 20 damage because it provides 2 energy or just 10 damage because its only 1 card if you get what i mean.

If DRE ,and only DRE is attached to the active Leafeon Lv.X, and uses the attack Verdant Dance, the calculation of the attack as below:

30 (Base Damage) + 20 (DRE) - 10 (Effect of DRE) = 40
 
Just curious, if Leafeon X is the active pokemon and has 2 leaf energy attached, and I have Claydol on bench with 1 DRE attached, assume there are no more energy atatched to other bench pokemons. Is the total damage from Verdant Dance 30+20+20 or 30+20+20-10?

Since DRE is not powering the Verdant Dance attack, I think there is no -10?

If the DRE is not attached to the pokemon who does the attack, the pokemon's attack reamins the same.

Therefore, if Leafeon LV.X using Verdant Dance and there is a DRE attached to any benched pokemon, the Verdant Dance do not -10.

The effect of DRE, which is -10 damage is only apply on the pokemon attached with DRE.
 
correct, if you have a leafeon X with 2 grass energy, and 4 DREs in play, none of em on Leafeon X, then Verdent Dance adds 80 to the attack just from those alone. No -40.

Only subtract 10 if the attacking Pokemon has that card attached.
 
cool so until october leafeon lv.x is deadly, not that it isn't anyway lol. and do you think that it would work well with togekiss's serene grace just for that extra energy boost, just something i was thinking about but don't want to try it and mess my deck up lol
 
It's overkill nonetheless, but it would work. But say you get 5 energy of the top of your deck with Togekiss. Then attach another one with Leafeon Lv.X's power. You've attached 7 energy this turn, adding 70 damage to the attack.
