Quick Strategy Question

It really depends on the deck. In most decks, no. Most decks don't even need stadiums. LostGar would need 3 Lost World though.
 
This thread belongs more in the TCG Discussion forum. Also, most decks generally don't run Stadiums, although players have been teching in Tropical Beach lately.

yeah, I'm a very casual player, and my steel deck has a theme of getting energies out of the discard pile, so I was trying to figure out if I should put in one or two burned towers.
 
Burned Tower is an amazing card, only downside is, it can't retrieve special energies like Conductive Quarry was capable of doing in the past. But out of the current Stadium cards in the meta, they aren't that great as some stadiums of previous formats. What we got now is....

Burned Tower (Pretty useful when running engineer's)
Indigo Plateau (Really why would any one run this)
Lost World (Only a few decks should run this, Lostgar/MimeGar/MewGar etc...)
Tropical Beach (obviously most people don't have it, but it does have potential)

thats all we got at the moment that I can think of. But then you got that stadium in the Ex sets coming up where its flip a coin if heads draw a card. Could see some play. While giving your opponent an opportunity to draw typically isn't great, I can see it being ran.

But when running say, Burned Tower, I'd always run 2 to guarentee getting it out.
 
Most times, decks running Stadiums run 2, and typically not more than 2 (except in the case of LostGar, where 3 is usually standard). Even if it's not super-important, a Stadium that helps is usually worth the space.

In the case of Lostgar, 2 Lost Worlds is usually sufficient with the right supporter engine, but I would also run 1 Burned Tower as well for energy recovery. But thats a personal choice.

Also once we get more stadiums released we may see more stadiums being played. I mean in the previous 2 formats we've seen Conductive Quarry, Moonlight, Contest Hall, Stark Mountain, BTS. So when theres a large stadium pool, theres usually something of use that will be seeing plenty of play. I'm pretty sure if Tropical Beach were to be widely released, there would be 1 in most decks.
 
The thing with running 2 Lost World is that sometimes both will be prized. With a deck that takes no prizes, that can be very challenging. I know it's unlikely, but I've had stuff like that happen to me before with other decks (MagneGatr, both my Gatrs prized. Not fun).

You'd probably be safe with 2 LW, but I think personally 3 is better.
 
Generally when I run Stadiums, I run only one because of the fact that when I have one out the other becomes a dead draw. I try to reduce those to a minimum, and with the stadiums we have now there isn't really much need to run more than one. Given Lost World, because you lose without it.
 
The problem with running one is that if you don't draw into it, it can create a problem (particularly if it's an important card.
