Racism

I haven't heard anything so stupid coming from you in my life. Skin has nothing to do with religion. What you said is a mock and very disgraceful to the Christians. Don't bring 2012 to this thread please. You know what I mean. >: /

Racism means- Being a discriminator of RACE. Not being a discriminator of RELIGION.

I hope that you misunderstood what he said because I've never heard something so stupid from you. What he described was essentially racism, only applied to religion instead of race. And he wanted to know what you thought about it.

That's racism too, isn't it? Judging on the base of how someone thinks.

This is not even related at all.

You can choose your religion, you can't choose your race. Thinking your race is better than someone else's is bad because first off, races don't really exist, it's the same thing as a black dog and a white dog of the same breed, they are the same, just different color fur. Also, you can't choose your race, so it would be bad to judge someone on something they cannot change.

You can choose your own religion, just like how you can choose your own Pokemon cards. I will use this analogy because it is a Pokemon forum.

You choose your cards (beliefs) because that is what you think will make you win (go to heaven). That is not a bad thing to think that way, or think that other people will lose (go to h-e-l-l) because they chose the wrong religion (cards).

If it is based on choice, it's okay to think other people are wrong, but it is wrong to impose your own views on other people by forcing your religion on them, yes that is wrong. But you were not talking about that, you were saying thinking that your religion is "better" or whatever than someone else's is the same as racism, which it is not at all.

Also, people of other races don't try to convert people to their race like religions do. There is not really any way that race-superior-beliefs are similar to religion-superior-beliefs.

I get told im black a lot of times (I'm Indian).

I don't give a d-amn.

xD It's the same for me, dude. If you ignore it, though, people stop being stupid and leave you alone. Some of the people who used to call me black are actually my best friends right now.

Okay maybe it wasn't racism, but it iss just another form of discrimination. And it was just a question, nothing more...

You don't understand it. It's between Pokequaza and us. What we debated before in an old thread. So please don't misunderstand this but, it has nothing to do with you.

Pokequaza- That's ok, but please don't always bring up religion when the topic has nothing to do with it.

Saying "Pokemon card players are more skilled than Yu-Gi-Oh! players is also discrimination," but people don't start getting mad at your for making a comment like that (aside from people who like Yu-Gi-Oh! better, LOL).

I explained it already with a Pokemon analogy, read my above post.

I hear about 7 sentences of racism at my school daily. Can't do much, they're also discriminative in every form just because they can.

Also, "reverse racism" is known as positive discrimination. Getting special treatment because of some sort of superficial feature.

Also, awesome quote is awesome; "We are all brothers under the skin, and I for one am willing to skin humanity to prove it". Ayn Rand. I personally would want to blind racists just so they can realise how irrational their view ultimately is.

Then there's also those in minority groups who abuse their pasts by screaming "racist" against any and every legitimate charge put against them. It's disgusting.

I am not saying Obama is the one claiming this, it is SOME Obama supporters and Liberal news personalities, but:

It's true, when people say anything bad about Obama's policies, that person gets called a racist for not supporting Obama. It's just aggravating to hear that, those kinds of responses make it seem like nothing can be done about the problem, because if you try to criticize something to help it improve, you immediately get called a racist even though you are commenting on the ideal/product/etc and not he person or the color of their skin who came up with the ideal/product/etc.

The era of intelligence (ironically) has made everything think of ulterior motives, government secrets, freudian slips etc. People read into things way too much. Or abuse these presumptions.

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't realize this was a private conversation on a public forum. I'll try to be more considerate next time.

And apparently you still don't understand him. He's trying to make a connection between racism and religion, and it almost seems like you are trying to make him look like he's spamming WHEN HE'S MAKING A CONNECTION.

Ah no don't worry, that's a common reaction, when you ask a religious person difficult questions about their religion or making connections to other things they never like it based on my experience... :/

Anyway I will quit talking about religion in this thread.

Even though America has it's first black persident, believe it or not, there are still racist in America. Although things have changed, what do you think about how Blacks where treated in the past.

Here are a few headers about how they were treated-

Blacks:

Couldn't drink from the same water fountain where the Whites drank from.

Couldn't be a president.

Couldn't sit in the front row of the bus.

The majority of them were slaves (in South America).

Were treated as outcasts.

Those are the few things I can post for the moment.

Tell me what you think? It is cruel to treat someone just because they have a different color of skin...Don't you think?

You can also state your opinion of other types of racism, of how you feel about the whole thing and if you are[/ii] a racist, please don't curse about this thread. You'll be banned if you do anyway...

In all Honesty as said by other(s) this isn't really needed lol. Why discuss the disgusting things that happened in the past but look towards a brighter future...

Yeah the stuff mentioned in the first post hasn't happened in years. There is still racism, but its with all races, not just white vs black. And even if there is, people aren't as open as it used to be. And obviously it's not big enough to worry about, considering Obama <3

racism is a darkness which has tainted our pure society!!EUGENICS FTW lol jkjkjfk

today i learned americas samoas is a part of americas province whats up with that? it should be part of west samoas

It's alright but, apparently you still don't understand that he was bringing that conversation here in this thread when racism does not have anything to do with religion. As I have said before, racist means discriminating race...not religion.

And I do not discriminate other people's religion, I simple don't like the way they talk bad about mine.

Please don't delve in this matter any further, just express your opinion about what happened in the past (racism in America).

He was being sarcastic.

Meh, I can't say much about racism in America. But when I was 9, I was schooling in Australia for a short time, and when I went somewhere in the school where some other 9 year old kids were listening to music, they chased me away and said "no blacks allowed!". For the record, I'm a Chinese.

Well, so was I.

And...what on earth...crazy racist kids..

It honestly astounds me that you won't allow him to bring religion into the matter because I do think he has a point that is related to the topic. Apparently the all caps didn't help you realize that he was making a connection.

Ok, I'll be open minded, and I won't be offensive anymore.

What do you think is the connection then?
