Help Raichu BREAK with Raichu from burning shadows?

Just wanted to know if evolving the burning shadows raichu into raichu break would leave your opponent paralyzed
No, because you're playing Raichu-BREAK from your hand to evolve Raichu, not the Raichu from your hand to evolve a Pokémon.
doesnt raichu break get raichus ability tho?
Sure, but the ability is on the Raichu card, Raichu-BREAK retains the ability but "this Pokémon" is still Raichu and not Raichu-BREAK. Either that or it's because it retaining the abilities of previous evolutions doesn't happen until after you've played it, I'm not entirely sure which.
It's stupid but the ability doesn't work that way it should though unless the card specifically says raichu on the card but "this Pokemon" is not specific which means taking the ability of the what you evolved from should work that way. It's been like that with greninja(dark promo) and crobat break but the ruling stands that it doesn't sorry
