So with Steam siege re-releasing double types, what do you think of xerneas with rainbow force using the double types to its max advantage, I haven't made a deck list yet but I plan on it.

Yeah, these dual types could be really intriguing for this deck. Does anyone know if they will count as two pokemon each when calculating damage for the Xerneas attack?

The attack counts types, not Pokemon, so something like Volcanion-EX would add 60 damage.

I am liking this deck a lot.... Can't wait to try it out with these new dual types!!!

The deck has gotten better and better with each set since Breakthrough. While the only viable double type to use is Volcanion, it makes doing 60 more damage much easier. Plan on testing it when it comes out as it seems like a real contender even after rotation.

Magearna-EX is going to be a nice niche in the deck as well. My fear is that Jirachi would eat this deck alive, but if you opt to play four Rainbow Energy, this card is a definite must.

I think it'll be a strong contender, seeing as the format should slow down if my prediction of PHF getting rotated is correct. In that one Japanese commercial, the deck was definitely pretty to look at haha.

Jirachi won't see as much play due to the new supporter that cancels all effects on pokemon in play. It will still knock off an energy but won't be immune the turn after, leaving a prize for energy trade which isn't ideal. Any deck that runs high spec-en counts will need at least one of these to counter Jirachi and other things out there.

I think Galvantula could be a useful dual type, even as a Stage 1. It's 2 types, takes colorless energy so it can attack and it can 2HKO two Shaymin on the bench

Galvantula
– Lightning / Grass – HP90
Stage 1 – Evolves from Joltik

[C] Double Thread: Choose 2 of your opponent’s Benched Pokemon. This attack does 30 damage to each of them. This attack’s damage is affected by Weakness and Resistance.

[L] Electricweb: 30 damage. The Defending Pokemon can’t retreat during your opponent’s next turn.

Weakness: Fighting (x2)
Resistance: Metal (-20)
Retreat: 1

I think it'll improve Rainbow Road. It turns Hoopa into a +120 damage boost for one, (Grab Shaymin, another EX and Volcanion EX, plus Hoopa) let alone the likes of Volcarona and the aforementioned Galvantula that can be splashed in.

For Unlimited players like myself, Kecleon provides 9 different types, in one Pokemon for an additional 270 damage... OP? Most likely. And yes, I'm making a deck about it.

Here's the decklist: (So far)

Pokemon (16)
2x Xerneas BREAK (Steam Siege)
3x Xerneas (Breakthrough)
1x Xerneas (Steam Siege)
3x Kecleon (Rising Rivals)
3x Comfey (Guardians Rising)
2x Baltoy (Any Set)
2x Claydol (Great Encounters)

Trainers (34)
3x Fairy Garden
3x Skyla
3x Roseanne's Research
3x Professor Oak's New Theory
3x Nest Ball
3x Level Ball
3x Energy Exchanger
3x Special Charge
3x Fighting Fury Belt
1x Computer Search
3x Gust of Wind
3x Evosoda

Energy (10)
6x Fairy Energy
4x Double Colorless Energy

I would love some helpful feedback to help this deck, and I hope I helped you realize that even commons are helpful.
