Rare Candy in the future?

Im not sure if this is the right place to put this but do you think that pokemon will re-print rare candy? If they don't stage twos will be really hard to use in BW-on format such as gothitelle, reuniclus, emboar, and gardevoir. What do you guys think?

They better or I'm quitting. That's all I can say.

EDIT- for the record, we've always had Breeder or Rare Candy in the format - ever since Base Set was released. There hasn't ever been a format without it, and I'm doubtful there ever will be. It's not the way the game was designed to be played, and a lot of players would be very unhappy if they didn't reprint it.

PlusPower, Great Ball, and Rare Candy all got errata'd. We got PlusPower reprint in BW1 and Great Ball reprint in BW2. It's most likely that we'll be getting Rare Candy in BW3 (i.e. Noble Victories) if not BW4.

well it probably wont be noble victories cause it isnt in red collection, and probably not 4 cause weve seen most of those, but in EP we got some cards before they came out in japan so it is a possibility

It has to be in one of the next 3 sets to be legal for the next rotation, right? It'll probably be in our set next August.

You do realize that it will probably be a long time before our next rotation? We just rotated a few months ago and after last rotation we have the smallest meta in the history of Pokemon TCG in terms of number of sets in rotation. By taking out everything before HGSS, we lost ALOT of cards. By the time rotation comes back around, all the staple TSS will probably have been reprinted 2-3 times if not more.

Being that this is also the 15th anniversary of the game, I actually expect to see alot of reprints in the near future. No real basis behind this theory other than a hunch.

I'm sure they will, but I wish they'd give us Energy Removal re-prints. Sucks that we can't do anything to counter DCE outrage from Reshi.

Well, in that exact scenario you mentioned, there is always Lost Remover. We better get a Rare Candy reprint, or maybe even a Broken Time Space reprint (yes please, the only people who disliked this card were whinny people who didn't know how to build a speed deck), the last thing we need is the Dragons to becoming more powerful, because they can Catcher up your basics and Stage 1's before you can evolve, considering it would take 3 turns for you to get a stage 2 out.

Actually with how they already messed up the game...This might actually heppen.

"We want a slower game...lets make 130 basics that can get set up T2 and do a constant 120...anyone object?"

*everyone raises hand*

"Well to bad"

Ya...they didn't quite stick to plan :/

Um, wouldn't t1 BTS before the opponent even gets a turn just make it a donk format with Donphan and Yanmega? It would also help Reshiphlosion a ton too, so it hardly destroys the dragons (Zekrom, maybe, but not Reshiram).

If you are getting donked by a Donphan, play more basics. This isn't like Sabledonk or anything, if you start with 2 basics, they will not get a donk off. Not to mention, basics have 130 HP now, and with the EXs...

^No matter how many basics you play, you can't control how many you start with. Nobody tell me about a deck with 55 basics.

They rotate next August right after worlds. Not rotating one year was fine, but not getting rid of SP the next season and doing a small rotation was a bad decision. If I had to guess, there will be a rotation every August from now on - they've only strayed from this twice and the second time was just to fix the first time.

I have my doubts about the rotation next year, there may or may not be one (both are equally likely imo).

As we lost so many sets this year (unprecedented number), it could be argued TPCi want the HGSS cards to be in format longer, as
they saw little play in previous formats. It would be a waste for players to invest in these cards for 1 year only.

Then again, on the other side of the spectrum, TPCi may want to be consistent with the rotation from now on, and always rotate a few sets each year,
in order to have a healthy, changing format. However, if this occurs, expect it to be a minor, non-radical change. Perhaps 2 or so sets being rotated.

I think a constant rotation of sets can lead to an unhealthy format, as it leaves it without consistent cards. I also think the converse is unhealthy. Every other year a rotation of 2 sets could work.

Wasn't the problem with the last format the fact that we had too many cards because we didn't rotate? I can't see P!P delaying another rotation, by the time we rotate again in September we'll have 6 sets, that should be plenty for the start of a new season. Even if for some unknown reason they only decide to rotate 2 sets that still doesn't solve our Rare Candy problem, since it would get rotated.

Wheat, if they did 2 sets every other year something like Catcher would be around for at least 6 years. There is absolutely no way what you suggested would ever happen, we would end up with 15-20 sets in a year.

One of the biggest problems with the last format that led to an early rotation, iirc, was Sableye SF paired with the new Black and White T/S/S ruling. Just look at JWittz's video on Sabledonk. Makes ZPS look practically like a joke. Guaranteed going first with things like Crobat G, Poketurn, SP tools, BTS, donphan even, was just flat out ridiculous. The rule is bad now some could argue, but it was game breaking with the last format, and no one wanted to see it in Worlds.

That's the reason I've heard for the early rotation anyway. It makes sense to me though. Facing Sabledonk isn't necessarily fun.

they were trying to increase the number of sets in the format though
the only reason they cut to hs on was because sp wasnt designed to be in a format with trainers t1. they could try to increase it again.

honestly with the way the rotation has been for the last 3 years, nothing would surprise me at this point.
