My favorite Deck right now is Raticate/Garbodor. It is pretty Rogue, but it is tons of fun and I can consistently win a lot with it, even against TDK. And I've been trying to come up with other ways I can make use of Raticate and have it still be viable, or maybe even better.

Feel free to discuss how much you <3 Raticate in this thread, and any ideas or combos you've thought up or used successfully. ^.^

My Deck List: Raticate/Garbodor
Some of my ideas:
- Raticate/Dusknoir
- Raticate/Chandelure-EX
With these variants you'd use Raticate to drop big EX Pokemon down to 10 hp, Catcher a new one, and repeat the process until you ultimately add that final damage counter or move the counters to KO. You don't have to worry about Virizion-EX negating the Lasers and you can defend your Bench via Mr. Mime. You can also run Mew-EX to attack with, that way your attacker doesn't get KO'd as easily thus allowing your DCE to get more mileage.
 
I think out of those two the Dusknoir variants is the best seeing as how you could six prizes in one turn.

I used Raticate/Eels. And had pretty good success with it.
 
This deck NEEDS Exp. Share, not only because it requires 3 energy, but also since Raticate doesn't actually OHKO.

Dusknoir seems preferable, but I like Chandelure as well. With a bunch of Catchers and EXs, you could easily take 6 prizes in one turn (and Chandelure EX is Basic, which is nice).

More like 2 Energy (1 is DCE), but I like the Exp. Share idea. I never actually considered it.. >_<
 
I have played Raticate with Kyurem NVI, and I had moderate success with it. The goal was really to use Raticate as the main attacker and get all of the opponents Pokemon either KO'd with Hypnotoxic Laser or have only 10 damage on the bench. Then I can use Kyurem to do 30 to all of the opponents Pokemon, finishing off all of the opponents weakened Pokemon. Obviously Kyurem was rotated, but there is bound to be anoter card who does something like that.

That would be 2 energy cards, not 2 energy ;)

I would like to see Raticate/HTL/Garbodor (for Virizion) in action. That would be a cool deck.

That's actually the Deck I play the most with on PTCGO :)

It isn't rotated, there's the BW44 PROMO print and the Legendary Treasures future reprint.
