TCG Fakes ReapThaWhirlwind's Graphic Underworld [Text Based Designs]

Slugger Genesect

Genesect 110HP

{Ability} Disc Changer [When you put this Pokémon into play from anywhere, you may choose F, L, or W. If you do, this Pokémon's Techno Blast attack is treated as that type instead.]

CCC Techno Blast [70] If this Pokémon doesn't have a Special Energy attached to it, this attack does nothing.

Weakness: F 2x
Resistance: P -30
Retreat: CC

Genesect 110HP

{Ability} Techno Download [This Pokémon's attacks aren't affected by any effects on your opponent's Pokemon (both Active and Benched).]

FLW Amazing Blast [90] This attack is also treated as F, L, and W type.

Weakness: F 2x
Resistance: P -20
Retreat: CC

I have been questioning if the Techno Blast attack should have an additional stimulation to it. I don't necessarily feel that the card or attack was OP. True to the original game, it's a Normal-type attack, that doesn't really do anything for itself, but relies on the Drive Item (Ability) for utility. So just a powerful Normal-type attack. However, since it's supposed to be Genesect's Signature Move, it's very feel bad to not give it some flare that makes it stand out as special.

This stimulation now provides that flare—with the ability for expansionism in other forms; which previous versions of this attack in the TCG lack, but certainly would be important for future designs which won't have the same ability. This stimulation offers those attacks the utility of power distribution, having this stimulation built-in for self-sufficiency, to counter-balance the power distribution. In plain terms, they can freely be assigned as simple powerful attacks, without having to jump through any other loops (while giving the attack some special flare).

Focus Serum

Focus Serum [Pokémon Tool]

Damage the Pokémon that this card is attached to would take from Pokémon it has Weakness to is reduced by 30 (after applying Weakness and Resistance).

Prevent all damage the Pokémon this card is attached to would deal to itself and your Benched Pokémon.

Imposter Pikachu

Imposter Pikachu [Supporter]

You can play this card only if you discard 2 other cards from your hand.

Discard 2 Energy cards attached to your opponent's Benched Pokémon.

Anyone think this is overpowered as it is? I know it is a powerful effect, but for a Supporter (targeting the Bench), it seems like it would be a fair play as a Supporter. Potentially, it doesn't even disrupt the Primary Threat, and only hurts the opponent on the exchange, or when you have the advantage.

UPDATE

I decided that this does need an additional cost of some kind. Pokemon TCG is very open source and free-flowing. Although requiring a combo, it is too easy a combo.

Of course, I had originally thought to go the route of the original Super Energy Removal, but in reality, that didn't really do anything for the original card. It was still overpowered and discontinued, so it should be obvious that is not enough restriction.

If you take a look back at the previous Nidoking V card I made, it shows how little a restriction it truly can be. Easily affordable for Pokemon with Bench swapping attacks and abilities requiring only single energy (or no energy at all).

Discarding two cards is much better. It now becomes a 4 card combo from the hand (saying you have Bench swapping Item), but also then enables rebound potential with other Supporters that reload your hand from empty (Professor Juniper, Giovanni's Scheme, Lillie). That synergy makes it healthy for continuance. And makes the design fun and interactive for strategies to be built around it.

I also think this restriction is better than making it a Prism Star card, since that would reduce the best potential of this effect to very low probability. There's almost no reason making it at all. It could be a different effect entirely instead—better suited to the Prism Star dynamics.

Victory Road

Victory Road [Stadium Card]

Once during each player's turn, that player may discard a Pokémon from his or her hand. If that player does, they may search their deck for a Pokémon, reveal it, and put it into their hand. Then that player shuffles their deck.

Very simple, straight forward. I thought this would be helpful in the Stage 2 era with all the GX and sort. Now with the new V-Union cards it would see another world of potential. The concept is based on Pokémon catching in Victory Road, that would be expending a Pokémon in attempts of catching a powerful or elusive Pokémon in return. Plus, the name Giovanni's Concentration Camp probably isn't very G-Rated friendly.

PC Rebound [30x] This attack does 30 damage times the number of damage counters healed from this Pokémon during this turn and your last turn combined.

I question if for coherence it would want to highlight [Dynamax Max, Gigantamax G-Max, V Star Star attacks]. Because honestly, I would just put those details in comprehensive rulings. It only extends to attacks with those names from those specific types of cards. GX refers to the literal GX attack, and not just any attack from a GX card. Same for the others.

Snorlax V

Snorlax V 220HP

{Ability} Brilliant Leftovers [Inbetween turns (both yours and your opponent's), if this Pokémon in your Active Spot, remove 3 damage counters from it.]

CCC Hungry Skull Bash [100] This Pokemon may use this attack even if it has no energy attached to it. If it does, the base damage is 20 instead. Otherwise, flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokemon is now Confused and can't retreat during your opponent's next turn.

Resistance: P -30
Retreat: CCCC

The idea here was to create a V so good, you couldn't mess it up, even with the worst V Star design.
