Ruling Regice's Crystal Body

Say a Dusknoir uses hard feelings. If it were going against Regice Ex would it prevent the damage because of its pokebody and because had feelings is an affect and has no real base damage.

the last time I looked Put was an effect of an attack.

no put x amount of counters counters does not mean damage done.
being that the body prevents Effects of an attack EXCLUDING DAMAGE.
and DAMAGE is not PUT so all PUT Counters would not go through
