Reshiphlosion or ZPST?

Which deck should I build?

Of the two decks, I would say Reshiphlosion is by far the easier to use. For that reason, while ZPS concerns me slightly more in my matchup, I'd say go Reshipholsion. It has built in draw, built in energy recovery, good attack power, and generally good matchups. ZPS is good, but I do think it's harder to use. It relies, I think, on at least a decent starting hand, and I think ZPS requires you to sometimes make difficult play decisions, at least comparatively speaking. Reshipholsion on the other hand is a very simple beatstick, it's not that hard to figure out, it's effective, and it's cheap, and for that reason, I recommend it to anyone starting or getting back into the competitive field.
So basically use the worse deck because it's easier to play? T_T

ZPST is a much harder deck to use, but if its a better play, and you know how to play it well, use it.

They're both very good decks and viable options. ZPS(T) is great for donks and is the fastest deck out there. Reshiphlosion is a great deck for beginners and a solid deck to use, begginer or not. My suggestion is to proxie both, go to a league, and see which one you like better. It all comes down to personal preference

I'll try both decks. I'm gonna post lists in the Garage...I expect your help! Haha, they'll be the first decks I've built in years.

New question to stay on topic: any techs in Reshi that'd be worth considering?

I use a 1-1 Beartic to counter Mirrors, but 2 Basculin (80 damage one) works too

Zekrom also works against Yanmega

Ninetales isn't a tech in standard builds - it's a staple. RDL is absolutely horrible. You'll never have 3 Typhlosion out in a game. 2-3 Mew and a Relicanth aren't that bad either if Goth is big in your area. Running a Kingdra line is another take on that that I kind of like as well since you can drop PlusPowers for it and it's fairly useful in other matchups.

Beartic and Basculin seem totally random inclusions. If you want something like that, I'd try Zoroark. Zekrom is only good to beat water, but there's no high-tier water decks so it's not a very good inclusion.

RDL is a terrible tech in reshiphlosion. I'm just going to say that now, it takes up room because you need rainbow and electric energy and I never find myself with 3 Typhlosions up, meaning RDL will just be catchered and KOed before you get a single prize from using it. Ninetales actually is not a staple anymore due to catcher, so some decks use it and some opt for a more supporter-based draw system, which does work okay. I would have to agree that a 1-1-1 Kingdra line can turn the Gothitelle matchup into an autowin if it gets set up, and it helps the Donphan one a bit as well by allowing you to OHKO a Donphan after two turns of Spray Splashing it (Reshiphlosion can keep up with Donphan on its own, but its close to 50-50 imo, if you set up Kingdra is swings in well in Reshiphlosions favor). So, if you discover that G/R is common near you consider a Kingdra tech.

Even if someone DID have both RDL pieces, a lightning energy, and three Typhlosions, there's the big problem that RDL will be down to 110 HP after three afterburners. That makes RDL really easy to kill with Reshiram or Zekrom.

Well if you're already running bad, situational techs I suppose you could add a couple Potion to fix that lol. And it's generally used for the last 2 prizes, just because Bouffalant and PlusPower/Junk Arm are in the format and it's risky to play it earlier. But it's still bad either way.
