The official Japanese site updated with a tutorial type of thing where you can play the two Reshiram and Zekrom theme decks (20 cards in each deck). Both of the mini-decks included Reshiram EX and Zekrom EX!

Fire is R, and Fighting isn't G - it's F.

Am I the only person who thinks that, besides the foil border, these cards are decidedly underwhelming?

It's almost like they decided to swap the attacks of the original Reshiram and Zekrom from BW1...with the addition of a coin flip in Reshiram's case.

What makes up this "set" are the other cards. Random Receiver and Ultra Ball are actually very good cards.

I really like Ultra Ball:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ultra Ball Trainer

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Discard 2 cards from your hand. Search your deck for a Pokémon card and put it in your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward

Random Receiver--Trainer

Draw a card until you get a Supporter card, put the Supporter card in your hand and return the other cards to your deck. Shuffle your deck afterward

The cards in the decks have gorgeous artwork, IMO. Especially, Tympole (and this is coming from someone who hates Tympole).

Way to recycle moves Pokemon... Way to recycle moves... But other than that, the card art on these guys the AWESOME!

That Ultra Ball looks pretty amazing - it will be interesting to see how it affects the Junk Arm and Pokemon Communication lines in decks.

Is someone going to put the rest of the cards translations?

anyhow I think Zekrom EX is good enough to be in ZPST decks, 180 for 4, and 3 w/ a dce is just epic, especially if it's turn two :p

but overall I am very underwhelmed by the set as a whole, Gardevoir is prolly teh best cards.

I find it rather funny how Zekrom looks really powerful and has high HP but it is still 1HKO'd by Donphan (unless of course it has defender, but then again giving Donphan a Plus Power could fix that :p). Just more OM NOM NOM for Donphan.

I find it somewhat ironic that the recoils from the big attacks are switced from the BW Zekroms and Reshirams. Like discarding energy is now on Zekrom and damage is now on Reshiram. It kind of makes them less easily splashable into their respective decks.

This is what I first noticed when I saw them. Also death to Gothitelle.

Idk about Random Receiver. Pokegear is a lot better IMO. It could be used a lot more once Pokegear gets rotated.

dmaster out.

I can't get over how much that N's art is better than NV's. I actually kind of hope it replaces it in the English set.

Actually I really think that Transciever is better than Pokegear. Just because of the fact that you're gauranteed a supporter no matter what.

I think Reshiram could work really well with Fliptini. 75% chance of 80 damage turn 2, and the other 25% is still a respectable 50 damage. Then you would have a 75% chance of getting 150 for 3 energy with no drawbacks.

Right but at that point you might as well just run more supporters (barring the Junk Arm combo). Pokegear gets a specific supporter (Collector) even if you whiff 5-10% of the time. Plus it doesn't show your opponent cards in your deck and you have the option to fail it which is great for Yanmega.

these cards are freaking sick!!!!!! they're not to good with play ability but they're sick for collectors!
