Guiding questions:
1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
2. What popular metagame decks could it be used in?
3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).
5. How's the artwork?

Posts MUST be several sentences long with proper grammar and spelling or they will be deleted - this forum is to discuss specific cards so other people can learn about their potential in the current metagame.

1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
Its ok on its own. It takes a while to set up, but with the right cards, it can be used effeciently.
2. What popular metagame decks could it be used in?
Reshiram/Emboar would be the best bet attaching all of those fire energy in one turn.
3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
Use Ninetales to discard energy and use Energy Retrieval to get them back.
4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).
4/5. It can get set up slowly and sometimes it is hard to get out.
5. How's the artwork?
I think its cool because it takes up the whole card and is bright.

1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
It's actually phenomenally solid. 130 HP on a Basic? That's crazy high. As for potential, definitely - Outrage gains more power the more he gets damaged (and based on his high HP that could be a lot), and if Outrage isn't an OHKO, there's always Blue Flare.
2. What popular metagame decks could it be used in?
Anything that can make room for a DCE can accommodate this guy, but it's best run with "Dancing Emboar" to get the Energy for Blue Flare on to it quickly.
3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
Revive, Fandango, Reuniclus (to make sure Outrage does just the right amount of damage), Serperior (to keep the guy alive forever), Typhlosion Prime's Afterburner...quite a lot.
4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).
4/5. Probably going to see a lot of use next format because it's such a good standalone.
5. How's the artwork?
BOOOOOOOOOOOO *throws rotten fruit*

5. How's the artwork?

1. Good. With this, the HG/SS-on metagames just get better. It is worth being bad. This card can stand on with techs like typhprime or emboar.
2. It can't tech into decks, but it can make a deck itself.
3. Typhlosion to attach its discarded energy, or Emboar to keep attaching energy to it with energy retrieval combo.
4. 5/5. As i said, metagame just gets better with this card.
5. The artwork? FULL ART! what do you expect? its of course, a 5.5/5 !

1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
This card is a great metagame quality piece added in the newest set, Black and White. Reshiram, along with its counter part Zekrom, feature a whopping 130 hp as a basic. I am probably wrong, but I believe this is the most health a basic has had in pokemon tcg history(check me up on that). This card could have bad attacks and still be considered for deck ideas simply off its health. However, it's attack list really puts this card over the top. Alone with zero supporting cards it is mediocore, but what card isnt when combined with the right stuff.
2. What popular metagame decks could it be used in?
Reshiboar and other similar variants is most common for this card to be a part of. Reshiboar uses Reshiram, ability Emboar, and most likely the powerful HGSS Ninetales draw engine.
3. What combos can you use it with? How so? The Emboar from Black and White with an ability may attach as many fire energy to that player's pokemon as he or she likes. This allows for the use of blue flare every turn if executed properly of course. Since the deck involves fire energy, the use of HGSS Ninetales is an almost must.

4.25 for me. This card is one of those 2 or three cards from a set that really gives the meta a shift and creates new and interesting ways to play the game. Reshiram and Zekrom from this set feature such brute power that they should see consistant play up until they are rotated.
5. How's the artwork?
The full portrait ultra rares are absolutely stunning. Some of the best looking cards to date. Cant wait to see future cards of the same concept of full portrait.

5. How's the artwork?

1. This card is awesome. 130 HP for a basic Pokémon is just awesome! This card is very good, and I think it's really worth being played.
2. It could be used in ReshiBoar, BoarZone, Legend of Emboar and the deck that has both Emboars from BW set.
3. The most obvious and amazing combo is using Emboar ability "Inferno Fandango" to attach 3 Energys to Reshiram in 1 turn to swing for 120. But you can also use it with Reuniclus and Serperior with ability, to make sure Outrage does exactly the necessary damage to 0HKO the defending Pokémon and to keep this big guy on the field more time than it's expected.
4. 4.5/5. I think this card is going to be 1 of the best metagame decks, if it isn't the best. I give it 4.5 and not 5 because it isn't so good on it's own, it needs much support.
5. AMAZING ARTWORK!!!!!! This is by far my favorite Pokémon, and in Full Art, it looks just beautiful! I think the blue eyes are really nice on that Pokémon.

1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
On its own, Reshiram is a good Basic, but the speed to get set up is equal to the time that it takes a Stage 2 to get into play. If it's not alone (preferably with Emboar), it is so worth being played.
2. What popular metagame decks could it be used in?
Reshiboar, Liquid Burner (you probably haven't heard of the latter).
3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
Emboar, Leafeon Lv. X, Typhlosion PRIME, Heatran Lv. X
4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).
4.75 of 5. A 5 card is Unicorn. Likely to never happen. But this card is probably the closest I'll ever get.
5. How's the artwork?
All 3 versions have nice artwork, though the full-art one is amazingly stunning. 4.50/5 (Full Art) 3.5/5 (normal) 3/5 (promo)
