Rethinking curse gar part 2

well if you play the prime with cursegar and lv x thats about all your gonna play... with spiritomb and probably vileplume for trainer lock or nidoqueen rr. I really wanna try wailord in this deck haha I just think its a funny idea

Look CurseGar is not BAD in this format, but it's not good either. Here's a possible list.

3-3-2/1-1 Gengar Sf-Sf-Ar/Tm-Ar
1-1 Mewtwo
1-1 Dodrio
2-1 Uxie
4 Spiritomb
1 Smeargle
1 Crobat
1-1 Luxray

3 Collector
2 BTS
4 Bebe's
3 Twins
4 PokeTurn
3 PONT
2 Belt
2 Cyrus

4 Call
6 Psy
2 Warp
Seems decent but bad at the same time. PrimeGar is to ShadowSkip and bring it up and lost zone their Gyara. Decks a possibility but slow. To that guy saying that Your gonna spray my Level Down, your really gonna use spray when I have a Tomb up. Good players will leave a tomb up when you take a ko or almost always bring it up with ShadowSkip.

The closest reference i've seen is in the case of an attack that send a pokèmon to the lostzone, the owner of rescue energy decides whether the pokèmon returns or not, so i'm assuming that the body would the same situation

If you used cursed drop on the pokemon with rescue energy on it it will stop it from going to your oppoents hand because its an effect of a attack and it would go to the lost zone.

Your deck list needs work zangoose.

Coming from the guy with numerous bad techs. I'm trying my best to help you and give you a playable and Semi-competitive list. Oh you...

Actually Rescue Energy only stops pokemon knocked out by the damage of an attack from going to the discard. So a pokemon with rescue energy knocked out by Cursed Drop will go to the discard.

To the best of my knowledge, Gyarados would still return to your opponent's hand if it had rescue energy attached and you skipped to primegar.

Zangoose's decklist isn't bad, it's definitely more consistent than playing the majority of the techs in the first post. The only thing is I would run 4 Sf gastlys and possibly a {L} for luxray.

Zangoose Ive played this deck for a while i know what it needs. If you had one doduo or dodrio prized you might hafe to give up and they can knock out dodrio. You would create a lot of junk in hand with that deck and it would give little bench space.

Okay, let's settle a couple of things:

Cursed Drop vs. Rescue Energy = LOST ZONE (not discard, as has been mentioned. Consider Gengar Prime's BODY).
Shadow Skip to Gengar Prime + Rescue Energy = this link.

Now that that's settled...

How on earth would Zangoose's list cause a bunch of junk draws? Solid starters + a few basic, effective techs (retreating, wall and Bright Look) + consistent TSS and energy lines = at least a semi-solid decklist. Not super-fast, but you can't make CurseGar super fast in this meta. That's why Twins is in there. You're almost certainly going to fall behind on prizes.

And so he's a got a 1-1 line for Dodrio. So what if one of them is prized? Doesn't stop people from playing 1-1 Luxray GL LV X lines in their decks. If you're that worried about it, run Azelf.

Ive been playing around with cure gar for a long time now and i can tell you that this wont work. Those poke turns would create a lot of junk in hand and smergle is a bad tech it takes up bench space and you dont know if your oppoents hase supporters in hand

Azelf takes up bench space and you didnt mention what would happen if dodrio got knocked out.

PokeTurns add up the damage via crobat and Luxray can bring up things and Tomb Lock them. With smeargle just knowing whats in their hand is a HUGE tactical advantage. Let's see w/ most decks playing 12+ supporters, I know they're not always going to have it obviously. If they do KO the Dodrio then you lose. Same thing applies to you however. If they manage to ko a dodrio or two then you can't retreat, hence losing. Also have yuo tested an of the cards that I'm talking about? I see your from Ohio, go play w/ Good players like Henry Prior or Micheal Zele and see how your deck fares.

Henry goes to my league i played aginst him last week i won once and won twice but other two times i had a bad start the other two times he was playing lux chomp. Jarachi from riseing rivals would be better than smergle because of his poke power and its attack detour and it hase free retreat.

Those poke turns would do nothing for you at the start of the game. If you dont want to take out the poke turns you could put mamswine gl this would be much better to put in than crobat g.

I myself think Smeargle is a wonderful tech. I usually run one or two in my decks. Smeargle's retreat cost is easily taken care of by Unown Q or Warp Energy.

Mamoswine GL doesn't come close to Crobat G + poketurn. Especially since Crobat G has free retreat if you have to start with him. Crobat G can lay multiple counters in one turn. Mamoswine GL can't. Not to mention Mamoswine GL has to be active and a 4 retreat cost. Crobat G + poketurn's are a much more efficient way to spread then Electrode G since you can attack after the spread while Electrode G uses up your attack.

You can recover Dodrio with Palmer's if it's knocked out.

You can send out mamoswine gl as the active pokemon with curse gar then it deals ten damage in between turns if its not a water pokemon. Then the next turn you can poke turn mamoswine gl.

Electrode g does twenty to every one and you dont hafe to have poke turn in your deck then you could use compound pain the next turn.

I don't really understand what you wrote, but if you play against LuxChomp a lot you'll not only become a better player but you'll learn whats inconsistent and not. Try to find out what he plays and why, ask questions they help. :p

Well how do you mean recover like garchomp c x recover? Well if you meant that you would use electrode g attack when garchomp c is leveled up and then bring up spiritomb.

Any damage recovery like Garchomp C Lv.X. If Garchomp C is already leveled up then chances are Garchomp has already sniped Electrode G due to its 70 hp. If they have Nidoqueen the damage will from Electrode G will be completely gone before your next turn.
