Reuse of Card Art?

Anyone notice that they're reusing poses for cards in MT. I'm not sure if they've done this in the past cause I've recently started playing again. If you're not sure what I'm talking about here's an example.

Well they are both done by Ken S and his work never really changed that much. The most obvious re-use of art I can think of is ralts in SS and DF.
 
It's a stock image. It's the kind of thing they put on the boxes of the video games and in advertisements.
 
Its a tribute to the base set, theres other cards in DP that Ken based on the Base set. Being an older play who remembers the start, it means alot haha :D
 
also the art larvitar from the expedition sets are the same as the fighting type larvitar in the DF
 
Many of the pokemon drawn by Ken sugimori all look very basic, and they change barely from time to time, so don't be too disappointed.

You mean that. I guess it's a tribute to the Seels.
 
Actually, maybe some of the illustrators like Ken just keep their original or old art and from time to time, they take it out to reuse it?
 
It doesn't really matter. It's less time that they have to put the cards in development. It still does something different.
