Rise Of Darkrai in theatres?!

Nice to see that the new owners of the anime are that confident in their work. I remember when I saw the 1st movie in theaters. This had better be pretty awsome after al the hype.
 
I saw it too. I almost missed it, but it was pretty cool. And wasn't the last time Pokemon was in theaters was the Entei Movie, Pokemon Movie 3?
 
I asked my mom if I could see the movie when it comes out an without hesistation, she said yes. So, I'll probably be going within a few days to the movie within a few days of its release.
 
If Pokemon 4-ever was in theaters it was select cities only. I remember looking for it and I know it never came to my town, which is a fairly big city. The last movie in theaters I saw was 3.

*EDIT* Wikipedia says " It was the first one to be distributed by Disney and the last Pokémon film to be released in wide theaters outside of Japan in 2002."

So it must have been a case of select cities...

And Heroes was in theaters but it was an extremly limited release as it was only in 196 theathers. Jirachi was released directly to DVD and VHS.

It was in theaters because I remember the trailer... The only movie i saw in theaters was Pokemon 2000 but I always heard of when the other ones were released. I distintly remember seeing adds for 4 and heros at different times in the newspaper and they said "coming to theaters (and some certain date)".

Ok, do you guys think that there might be the slightest chance of it NOT being in theatres? Why would they air it on TV before showing it in theatres? I think it is normally the other way round.
Btw i'm not saying I dont want it in theatres, i'm just a bit confused.

Same here. I don't think we should get our hopes up until we have rock solid information from PUSA.
 
Yeah, lately I have benn a bit iffy on this information. But, I still think it will be in theaters, due to the fact that the Pokemon TV Show has to go through PUSA first. And, they also have tell Cn to put that on. But, still, you never know.
 
Completely agree! I have no idea whats going to happen, thats why the ? is still in the title:p I do hope its in theatres, but I don't know if it will be!
 
I just e-mailed Water Pokemon Master regarding this issue. I can guarantee you it wont be in theaters!!! they did this with Pokemon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea. 9th movie.....Ever since Heroes....THe anime movies have gone through 3 liceneses 1. WB 2. Mirmax/Disney and currently 3. Viz Media (the one who does the naruto movies etc) I can promise you with the way things have been going, its not going to be in theaters. The movie will go direcly to DVD. probably in mid March (since its airing feb 24th) also note (this movie is 128 min :)

so hope that clears things up. I checked out movies.com and Imdb.com and they usually have movie information about movies 6-9 months before the movie is even released in theaters (they had the batman the dark knight info published a year before the movie even started production. (plus this movie was released in japan in july 2007) i have been eargly been waiting for this smash fest long movie which will rock.....hopefuly that clears stuff up
 
Well I think you may be right UT32, But with the new guy in PUSA its possible, but they would have been planning this and it would be on the sites. I don't know right now it may be possible and it may be not. Its too iffy to tell.
