So is this in any way related to
this? I just find it weird that they have the same name.
To be honest, I think you guys could come up with a more original plot line. Many of the complaints about RSE and DPP are that they follow the exact same formula (8 Gyms, evil organisation taking over the world with some dumb uber), so it makes sense to have something different if you want this game to appeal to other players.
Good luck with this though
Yeah Maybe Scampy's right. We should take our time and make a better plot. One that's completely different from other games. The wait may be longer but it will be worth it.
Following my previous post here's an alternate beginning if you wanted to be more original. It starts with you and your friend/rival at the Professor's lab after being signed up for Pokecamp.
Pokemon Amethyst
It begins with you in the Professors lab with Rival. For this demonstration.
Prof: Redwood: Hello you and Rival. It appears you two are ready for our pokemon exploration camp now that you are finally 13.
Rival: You bet we are!
PR: Ok so now what should we do? Oh, I got it! Report to your parents to tell them that we are going on our first field trip.
Rival: Field trip!? To where?
PR: To the triangular divide Rival. I’ll explain it in better detail later.
Rival: Okay you I’ll race you back here and you better not cheat. Ready, Set, GO!
Rivals runs out of the screen to his house.
Now you get free movement.
You walk down to your house talk to your mom and come back to Prof. Redwood’s lab.
And when you talk to your mom she gives you the running shoes.
Rival: Well it’s about time slowpoke.
PR: Ok now it’s time to set off for the Triangular Divide!
When the screen comes back in you are at the Triangular Divide. A large volcano with Valleys on either side. At the top of the volcano there is a large fiery landscape, On the right a vast watery swamp, and to the left a lush green forest.

pokemon in their natural habitats. You how about you check out the forest with Rival, I’ll go to the volcano, and my assistant will check out the swamp.
Assistant: Yes Sir.
Rival: Got it! You let’s go!
Everyone leaves in a different direction.
When you get into the woods Rival sees something up ahead.
Rival: Hey You, what’s this?
You guys hurry ahead to find 3 strange looking people talking. With a pokemon on the ground between them.
Person1:I saw the Prof. Head up the volcano…
Person2: Perfect, was he alone?
Person1: Yes which makes it even easier..
Person 3:Hey! There’s kids over there!
The have a shocked expression when they see you and run off toward where you came from.
Rival: Who were those people? Hey they left some pokemon behind… And they’re hurt!
You both run over to the injured pokemon.
Just then the assistant runs in from behind.
Assistant: Hey guys did you see those strange people? Hey what are those injured pokemon doing here?
Rival: Those crazy people left them behind.
Assistant: We should go to the professor now, how about we each take one, I have some spare pokeballs to carry them in.
Rival: So how about it You, you can choose first.
This is where you get your starter. You choose one then your rival chooses the one you’re weak to and the assistant chooses the one you’re strong against.
Then you all run to the top of the volcano to see Prof. Redwood.
When you arrive at the volcano you see the 3 strange people blocking Prof. Redwood.
Person1: Now come with us Professor.
Person3: Hey! It’s those pesky kids again.
Person1: Don’t worry this will be easy.
Person3: Yeah lets teach them a lesson with our pokemon!
Person2: Don’t be so hasty. Anyway were Team Marsh and we need the Professors research to help benefit everyone little children, so if you could let us…”
Rival: I don’t believe you for a second!
Assistant: Yeah! Me neither!
Person 2: Fine then, we’ll teach you to meddle where you don’t belong!
Then they charge a
