Since I can't do anything else, I could look up scripts that might be good. I'll post links to the ones I find.
Do you already have a day/night script?

He's referring to the programming script for daytime and nighttime.

You don't know what a script is? A script is coding that tells the game what to do. When you're searching for scripts to use on RMXP, you need to make sure it is an RGSS script. If it is RGSS2, it will not work on RMXP.

I found a Day/night script.

Also, I don't remember if Pokemon essentials already does this, but it's a show map name upon entry script. It's like on the Pokemon games where you go on a route and it says Route [number].

Here is a follower script. It's like on HG/SS where Chikorita follows you around.

I found a couple of different online scripts, you be the judge of which one's better.

Ohhh, I understand. I saw that in RPG Maker. But it looks really confusing..

That's what I thought the fist time I used a script. ^^

Most of them are really easy to use. All you have to do is open the script editor on RMXP, go to the script folder called "materials," and make a new script by pressing Insert.
Then, copy and paste the script from wherever into the empty script. If you need to, I can post screenshots of how to do it.

Follow these steps to install a script:

Copy the script when you have it highlighted.

The circled button is the script editor. Click it.

Go to Materials in the Script Editor. Click the top script and press Insert on the keyboard.

Click on the empty script you just made, name it, and paste what you copied earlier.

Also, if you want, I could do the game's "official" artwork.

Ok...thanks, I understand a bit. But what do scripts do, does insert mean paste? Where do you get scripts?

Those links I put a few minutes ago? Those all go to scripts. The purpose of scripts is to enhance the gameplay. If you went to your game right now, and deleted all of the scripts in materials, it wouldn't seem like a Pokémon game anymore. You can find scripts on game maker communities. My favorite one is RPG Revolution. That's where my Quazar button links to.

Insert is the button on your keyboard that is immediately above Delete, and to the right of Backspace.

An example of what scripts do is day and night scripts simulate day and night, similar to DP, or GS.

I PM'd Zyflair with possible content after the second town. I proposed that the route after Town two has a forest. After getting out of the forest you find Team (Blank) trying to jump a kid, who turns out to be the gym leader of city 1. The Gym Leader name is Oliver (Fitting name for one so young) and his type is Bug. Brief summary of the pm.

Essentials already includes all of these. Trust me, I'm pretty experienced with the kit.

EDIT: Except that the online server for Essentials is broken; I'm planning on making a better one. Don't expect it any time soon, though.

EDIT2: Oh, and don't even think about putting it on a cartridge. As unlikely as it may seem, the DS is not powerful enough to run an RMXP game. That also means you don't have to worry about pirates :p

btw, i meant the gym leaders pokemon, type, movesets, etc.
im not too good with sprites... unless a simple recolor or merge would work, i can do that

It sucks that DS can't run RPG Maker games. I was trying to figure out some way to put my VX game on DS.

I don't know if you already have one, but I made a random weather event system.
Event though I made it on VX, all of the event commands are on XP. The BGS for snow and the SE for thunder are in the XP RTP.
To make the weather system work, you could put the random weather part on routes directly connected to towns.
Then, on the rest of the routes and towns and stuff you can do outdoor weather. Inside houses, obviously use the indoor weather one.
