You don't know what a script is? A script is coding that tells the game what to do. When you're searching for scripts to use on RMXP, you need to make sure it is an RGSS script. If it is RGSS2, it will not work on RMXP.
I found a Day/night script.
Also, I don't remember if Pokemon essentials already does this, but it's a show map name upon entry script. It's like on the Pokemon games where you go on a route and it says Route [number].
Here is a follower script. It's like on HG/SS where Chikorita follows you around.
I found a couple of different online scripts, you be the judge of which one's better.
1
2
And that's all the scripts I found that might help.
Essentials already includes all of these. Trust me, I'm pretty experienced with the kit.
EDIT: Except that the online server for Essentials is broken; I'm planning on making a better one. Don't expect it any time soon, though.
EDIT2: Oh, and don't even think about putting it on a cartridge. As unlikely as it may seem, the DS is not powerful enough to run an RMXP game. That also means you don't have to worry about pirates
I believe you. ^^
It sucks that DS can't run RPG Maker games. I was trying to figure out some way to put my VX game on DS.
I don't know if you already have one, but I made a random weather event system.
Event though I made it on VX, all of the event commands are on XP. The BGS for snow and the SE for thunder are in the XP RTP.
To make the weather system work, you could put the random weather part on routes directly connected to towns.
Then, on the rest of the routes and towns and stuff you can do outdoor weather. Inside houses, obviously use the indoor weather one.
yes they can.Zyflair said:Guys guys. Cut down on the quoting a bit, please.
I know about nds files and that they can be playing on Emulators, but they can also be transferred onto a real DS cartridge?
If you are referring to sprites, then no, we're not using them. Flygon999 has spriters working on this right now. you can go ahead and start making them. Be sure to pm Flygon999 that you're working on this as well.Juliacoolo said:Are we using sinnoh Gym types? If not I'd like to get started on them.
red blastoise said:DF: yeah, but you would need to get a TTDS but they aren't hard to get, I know a site from which you can buy them for 6 dollars incluing shipping

a ttds uses .nds files and plays them like if they where real games.
you just put the .nds files on a micro SD, the micro SD in the ttds cartridge, and the cartridge in your DS.
then this isn't exactly a "real" cartridge as it isn't approved my nintendo, but you can put them on a cartridge in that way.

It is possible to create the real game, but the first task is to create the actual game and convert it into a more playable form. Then we might transfer the software in the DS Cards.
