Roaring Skies Cards, Hoenn Power Tins, Heliolisk and Meowstic Promos [3/25]

wait a minute...so this is confirming that we will be getting two different mage ray's in roaring skies?? as in also 2 different mega ray full arts??!!! That would be epic!!!

just like they did with wild blaze and flash fire with mega charizard from the set and deck!!

Nice! Especially of the fact that Rayquaza EX, and it's Mega counterpart will have both Dragon, and Colorless versions released in the same set at the same time. The last set to do this was BW Noble Victories, which saw Stunfisk released as both Lightning and Fighting types at the same time.

The two M. Rayquaza EX's were kind of a given since Japan had one in Emerald Break and one in an exclusive deck. For international releases they just combine the deck cards into the main set. If this is like the Charizard situations back in Flashfire we will still only have full arts for one of the sets, pretty sure it's the colorless versions we'll get FA. And Flashfire didn't even give the (set) M. Charizard EX a FA then.

At least dual Rayquaza/M. Rayquaza is much cooler than dual Stunfisk. Don't forget though that Noble Victories also gave us a fire Victini and the only (to date anyway) psychic Victini at the same time as well.

I figured we'd get Hoenn starter tins, now we just have to wait for Sceptile EX and M. Sceptile EX to be revealed. I kind of hope we get the mega Hoenn starters in some kind of premium collection. We've also learned from promo Gallade EX and Roaring Skies Gallade EX that we could still see these Pokémon in the main sets I just hope if that happens we see them all in their alternate types, bar Sceptile EX which is only grass. Of course we could also end up with our first M. Sceptile EX being a dragon type, aside from Arceus, Tyrunt, Tyrantrum, and Noivern we've had all of the other dragons types released in gold.

I'm glad we'll get Meowstick and Heliolisk as promos in this set. I wonder how long it's been since we've actually had all new cards as promos in the blisters...

I think they will give us full arts of both mega rays in english. They gave both charizards the secret rare versions so i don't see why giving both megas full arts would be any different!!

Both M-Charizard say hi.

It is different. The SR [R] M-Charizard was included in Wild Blaze. If we were to get a SR [N] M-Rayquaza, it should have been in Emerald Break. And it wasn't.

First of all, Japan also gave the secret rare of M. Charizard Y EX in Wild Blaze despite it also being in the deck, however Japan did not make a full art version of the deck Combustion Wing Charizard EX. We've already seen scans of both the Rayquaza deck cards and Emerald Break and only the colorless/main set versions of Rayquaza EX/M. Rayquaza EX are full art in Japan's set. Unless they want to make 'exclusive' artwork for international releases we can expect the same thing.

Additionally it is easier to just take a regular Pokémon border and make it gold colored, as is the case with the secret rare versions of megas we got from Flashfire/Wild Force to Phantom Forces/Phantom Gate, than to make new artwork. They could of course take an unlikely option of just switching out the FA type symbol from colorless to dragon and switching the attacks but since that didn't happen with the Combustion Wing Charizard EX in Flashfire/Wildblaze (which would have been easier as it only would have required an attack change) it's probably safe to say it won't happen now.

Or in short what Luispipe8 (who posted just before I did) said. Though I don't agree with both M. Charizard's saying hi. Despite the name not showing it, we all know they are different mega Charizards and at least in my book that doesn't count. I think the Stunfisk/Victini comparison still stands.

I could of course be proven wrong. I wouldn't mind having those dragons ones be full art as well but I just don't see that happening if we look at past sets.

I keep forgetting about the regular rayquaza lol i just keep thinking, 2 megas , two full arts hahaha i forgot about the 2 charizards too in flash fire.
i cant wait to build a mega ray/shaymin deck!!
Im also a little nervous for this set also , its either the miscuts and ink defects will get worse or nintendo will actually listen to the fans and realize how bad primal clash was condition wise and step up thier QC.

Next Destinies had the Darmanitan psychic variant which was SUPER epic for decks. A bit OT but do you remember what fire Pokemon had the "drawn 5 cards from your deck, for every fire energy you find, the attack does 50 more damage"???

True enough, but the original Darmanitan was in Black White set. Psychic Darmanitan was in Next Destinies. The point behind this reference:

"At least dual Rayquaza/M. Rayquaza is much cooler than dual Stunfisk. Don't forget though that Noble Victories also gave us a fire Victini and the only (to date anyway) psychic Victini at the same time as well."

Is the fact that electric Stunfisk and ground Stunfisk were released at the same time in Noble Victories. Fire Victini and psychic Victini were released at the same time in Noble Victories. The Darmanitan's were not released in the same set. Though yes I do remember how great that Darmanitan was, following the in the footsteps of several Exeggcutor.

Now then I implore someone, show us the new Sceptile EX and M. Sceptile EX.
