Ruling Rotated Usable Cards

Hi! I was wondering if when the format rotation occurs we would be able to use the non- shiny version of the cards. For example switch is usable from any set if it is in our current format, so for example when NVI Rotates out will it still be usable (the NVI version) because there is a shiny reprint in Boundaries Crossed?

Yes, if its the exact same card you may use the non shiny version if shiny is still in format. ex: should they rotate to Dragon exalted on, Terrakion NVI would still be legal as there is the shiny Terrakion in BC
