Oddly enough, there's a rumor going around my school that the main break (1 hour) will be removed, and a speech will be done every single day.

In a perfect world, being gay/bisexual would not be a thing to be ashamed of. Unfortunately, it's thought of as negative in our society, and rumors like that are just as hurtful as others. It's all fine and well to say that one shouldn't be ashamed of those kins of rumors, but if you accept things like that life is going to be a lot more difficult, especially in a school setting. Most people would rather not deal with that.
 
^Very true. People don't want to be ashamed of those rumors even, yet for some reason everyone still cares.
I'm going out with someone now, so hopefully people will stop calling me gay. Then again, she doesn't go to my school, so you never know.

So, if everyone in your school was to start a rumor about you, you'd have information on all of them? BTW, blackmail is possessing true information on someone. You can't just make up something in hopes that it will force them to say "Oh no! Please don't tell!".

That being said, blackmail is much worse than rumors.

I'm not saying it's something to be ashamed of. I'm saying it shouldn't be considered negatively, but as you stated, it's going to be a long time before that happens. Anyways, I just found that odd; I've never heard of something like that happening to somebody I know. Ah well. High School. What can you do?

So, you check to make sure it's true? Do you just walk up to them and ask, just to confirm? How can you possibly know information on someone and know it's true? If they're your close friend, I can understand knowing information that is blackmail worthy, but why would a friend start a rumor about you? And, why would you stick to blackmail? Doesn't that just make you worse than them?

No, I cannot. Could you please tell me where his post signals sarcasm? I was simply asking him questions about how he supposedly uses blackmail. That is all.

EDIT: I don't even think somebody would even ADMIT to blackmail under those circumstances.

This is the internet and he's only thirteen. I'm pretty sure he's not blackmailing for money, because then it would be bad.

I said for money. You can blackmail someone for other gains, dude.

Plus, usually the "other gains" are pretty bad too. In general, I would avoid blackmail. Again, why are we arguing about the precise moral value and likelihood of admitting to blackmail? JMHO
 
Why would I blackmail in real life? I guess you would not understand joking if it saved your life :\ The fact of saying I would do it for "gains" (drugs or sex) is an outrage! A mod will probably edit this, but I am appauled at how you slammed me! That is actually innapropriate and quite rude! Thank you Pokefan4000 for you're understanding! Back to TDK- Why? Why would you even say that? I am baffled......Man, it was a joke. A joke. If it offended you, sorry. But, I am clean of drugs and alcohol, I am a virgin, and why would I even do that to earn "gains"?! Like you said, I'M ONLY 13!!!!
