Did anyone else see that Emerging Powers basically reprinted all of the same kinds of Pokemon that Black and White already had? 2 Liligants, 2 Swanas, 2 Watchogs, and more!

Apart from the legendaries, Stoutland, Braviary, Reuniclus, Musharna, Emolga, Gigalith, Scrafty, every other Pokemon released in TCG has a clone. Discuss? Why in the world is TCG doing this?
 
Remember, some of these cards are also Japanese Promo cards. Without them, EP would be too small of a set, so they were printed as "filler" cards.
 
IT'S EX DRAGON ALL OVER AGAIN
I dunno, it adds a bit more variety, and this time they incorporate a few other things as well. For example, the Deerling line in EP is the Summer Form (in BW it was the Spring one), and the Unfezant in EP is the female one (in BW it was the male one).

I know some people might find it irritating, but I personally think it's a nice gimmick. Well, sorta.
 
I do wish that EP had more of the new Pokemon, but we'll be getting the rest of the BW ones available now in November anyway (except for maybe Victini), so whatever. A lot of the repeat Pokemon have better artwork in EP anyway IMO.
 
From what i can see and tell B/W : EP looks to be a Filler set to tide us all over till the Third English set is released and the 3rd set will be awesome IMHO :)

Hopefully the 3rd BW set won't be like the case with TR and CoL, I think Lost World and Tangrowth were supposed to be in TR but instead they put them in CoL, which is one of the worst sets in my opinion. (besides Pachirisu and Cleffa.) In a way EP is like CoL because I think we were supposed to get Catcher and Gothitelle in BW, meaning stuff like Eviolite and Victini will most likely be in the set after EP, P!P, TCPI or Nintendo, if you are reading this stop turning every other english set into Call of Legends.
Anyways getting on topic, I think the doubles are kinda cool.
 
This set is a filler for the next set, to space out stuff. I'm fine with it, but they should have put more/any Red Collection stuff in. Kyruem would have maken the set a lot better.
 
I think EP is more of a filler set to get some more rouge decks out there and keep the format ever flippy, until Fliptini
 
Well, apart from Catcher and Max Potion, I find EP to be a big flop. Even CoL was better than this...
 
^That I can agree with, but the next set will have EX pokemon and Fliptini so thats something to look forward to
 
^No, the next American set won't have EX Pokemon... That's only for the 4th american set... The next set will be cards from Red Collection, Victini deck and possibly, more bw-p promos...

My god, that one was terrible. >_<

Not all sets are good, and considering that they probably wanted a large number of repeats, EP happened to have taken the short end of the stick.
 
Money.
That's what it's all about.

Meh, whatever, I'm not buying boosters for anything until I see a set that is 'good.'
