Seniors Division @ states, ages?

Hi drewdwn!

Clear dice are for flipping (the thought there is that see-through ensures that the dice have not been tampered with) -- standard white dice are good for damage counters.

As far as trading goes... there will most likely be a lot of opportunity to trade. I set rules up in advance for my son so that he knows that I must approve any trade before it is completed. Also, no one is allowed to remove cards from the binder until the trade is finalized. And... only one person can look at his cards at one time...

Generally, most Pokemon players are honest and trustworthy... even with that, I like to keep control over the situation... so yes, bring her cards and then keep an eye out so that everything stays cool.

By the way... where are you? (I'm from Ohio.)

Thanks for all the info everyone! So dice wise, standard white with black dot 6 sided dice can work for flipping and I need to find some type of translucent 6 sided dice for dmg counters? Then something red and green as far as markers go for burning and poisons? This should be easy to do at my local card store I assume.

@Hypno68

Thanks for the advice. I feel im very lucky to have a daughter who still smiles when she loses because she loves pokemon that much :) Sounds like im in the same boat you were in a few years ago. I love playing these games with my family. Myself, im an old school mtg player so its a given that my whole family plays pokemon. My daughter is fantastically excited about this weekend haha. Is there a lot of trading there? Should she bring her cards for trade?

Thank you. Im already fairly involved with her trading. All of her friends know that she has the largest pokemon collection (thanks to dad's personal enjoyment lol) so shes offered a lot of trades. I know she likes trading them, so ill make sure to bring a book along of tradable cards. Wow, this could be fun hah. We are from Oregon actually, and our state tourney is this weekend. So our first tourney will be the big one, or is there larger for a state? Id like to be as involved in this as I can for her.

hey im in oregon too :D.

umm yeah just so you know oregon has like the biggest states EVER. and last year we had like 350 people. so we will probably have more this year. expect it to go a little bit late haha
