wanted to try something alittle different with zekrom and this is what I came up with but am not sure how to use redshark to test it. would like a little bit of input (actually alot) to see if this can work. the idea is to get out zekrom to absorb some damage while I bulid up my serperior and reuniclus to move damage around to either seeker a zekrom up off the bench or utilize outrage to the max. thanks ahead of time and all contructive criticism is welcome.

Pokemon (19)

3 rare candy
1 revive
2 energy retrieval
3 pluspower

It seems like Rainbow Energy is a Waste in this deck. Reuniclus will NEVER attack, and Serperior will never attack either. Both are strictly Benchspace. You should just be running Lightning Energy and Rescue Energy.

You don't need to run 2-2-2 Reuniclus. Go with 1-1-1, with 3 Cleffas as the exchange. Your deck lacks drawpower and if you can't hit Energy early on you're toast. Additionally, your current build has 9 Starters, 5 of which are strictly Benchspace and the others you don't want to take too much Damage before Serperior gets online. Sweet Sleeping Face assists that.

Drop the Dualball for a 4th Collector. It's a garuanteed setup plus it isn't flippy. Drop the Seekers; That only helps your opponent in this deck, as with no Switches you won't be able to bring up a Zekrom that has been heavily damaged. You'll never want to bounce a Stage 2 in this build and your Zekrom will be OHKO everything so having them bounce something is a near-waste. You should get either more Revives or Interviewer's Questions, as you need a consistent flow energy to your Zekroms.

Hope that helps.

first off thank you for the response. I only ran rainbows because of the off chance that I might have to attack with one of the benchsitters (its not unheard of but I see your point). Cleffas sound like a good thing to add I just need to get my hands on some more lol. I will add interviewers questions as well to keep consistant nrg flowing. thanks for the input ill make some adjustments momentarily.

okay I updated the decklist. I didnt feel safe removing all the rainbows just yet just because of the "what if" factor in case i may have to attack with serperior or something for whatever reason. once i test this I will see if I need them but I really dont see a reason to remove all of them with serperior healing 10 between turns at a minimum. I added two switch to move my hefty poke's around in a pinch and cleffas for early round consistency. also cut down the reuniclus line to 1-1-1 per request and I see that as a pretty good adjustment in theory. any more ideas?

In an event though that he needs to start swinging with outrage on T2 for a better swing, it can fuel Outrage. That was what I thought that the Rainbow were for. Plus it makes it easier for a benched one to just come out and attack in the next minute incase one either dies, or needs to switch or retreat.

this is a very good point and one I seemed to overlook. im going to need to take a hard look at this decklist to see what to remove before making hasty decisions... THANKS!

Updated the list again. I removed 1 rare candy and 1 seeker in order to have 4 rainbow nrg again. the synergy between zekrom and rainbow nrg is too good to pass up. and like I posted earlier in the event I use them for serperior for some odd reason later in the game the damage applied is negated between turns because of his ability. it seems like a win/win to me.

Added the rainbows back. as I mentioned in my mewgar post previous to bumping this thread I have someone coming over tomorrow that is going to play a bunch of games with me to test the waters with this deck (and my mewgar). anymore suggestions? thanks ahead of time.

I tested this deck a few times against my reshiboar deck when my buddy came over and it lost both times by a large margin the first time (bad draws) and the second time it was a pretty close game yet it still lost. Then I played it against lostgar and once again it lost but the second time I played it I won by a pretty good margin. current record 3-1. I feel that had the draw gone my way a little more the record could be 2-2 so Im not losing hope on this deck.

If you have rae candy you might as well do this.
+1-0-1 REuniclus
-0-1-0 Serpperior

Dont need these.
-2 energy retrieval
-1 Collector

Need these.
+1 Revive
+1 PETM

Rainbow is great for killing Cleffa. Zekrom + {L} + Rainbow = Dead Cleffa.

I agree. I could not imagine this deck running w/o rainbow nrg after further testing. I just got a game in against my buddy reluctantly playing against donchamp. I got all three serperior up rather quickly as well as reuniclus but eventually succumbed to the fighting weakness. I only had one prize left too:( it was soooooo cool being able to take off 120 damage per turn keeping zekrom alive long enough to get there though:D

Im noticing with the one revive and three rescues I run that I might not need an extra revive in this build. I might benefit from adding an additional PETM though.

the more I test this deck the better it seems to be performing. I am pleased with its performance and cannot praise the synergy between reuniclus, rainbow nrg and zekrom enough... being able to control zekroms outrage or straight up healing him by distributing even portions of his damage amongst the bench healing with stacked serperior royal heal abilities is a fun tactic thats a refreshing way to tank with zekrom. its record has progressed to somewhere around the 5-3 area (I accidentally lost count lol). this deck may not be able to donk right away like most zekrom deck variants but has the tools necessary to stick around for the long haul.:D
