DPPt/HGSS Setting Levels for Wi-Fi Battles

One of my friends was telling me that in HeartGold and SoulSilver you can set your Pokemon to Level 50 even If they're at 100 like you can in Pokemon Battle Revolution however in Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum you can't set Levels in the game unless you're using the Wi-Fi Plaza in the blue room of the Pokemon Center, is this true?

If you can set levels in the 4th Gen games how do you do it? Someone mentioned to me about a GS Battle regarding it. Can someone explain?

A wi-fi flat battle auto-levels all pokemon (while in battle) down to level 50. However, D/P/Pt lack the flat battle feature. Was that what you wanted to know?

Just to clarify a bit, "flat" battles occur only in the local wireless colosseum, and the option is accompanied by rulesets such as "Standard Cup" and "Light Cup" (or the "GS" Cup, which you might be referring to, I can't tell), but are exclusive to HGSS, like Wobbuffet said. However on Wi-Fi, all battles are auto-leveled, as indicated by the Lv. 50 and Lv. 100 options (with singles/doubles accordingly) -- this is a feature present in all 4th generation games.

I hope we're able to have flat battles in Black & White, that'd be awesome. It would suck If they left it out like they did with Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum.
