We always have a merry christmas threat and everything, so yeah Its Jewish new year and wanted to wish everybody a Shannah Tova (Happy new Year). May you be inscribed in the book of life and have a good new year :D

I thought it took place in October....but then again, I'm not Jewish, so what would I know?

Anyway, happy Shannah Tovah to all who celebrate it. =]

Happy Rosh Hashanah! :)

My mom baked a honey cake and it's terrific.

In Hebrew, rosh translates to "head" and hashanah means "of the year", so in other words, Rosh Hashanah means "head of the year". It's tradition to put a head of an animal, usually a sheep's head, on the table, but not many people still do that for obvious reasons. :F A fish head is most often used instead.

Happy Rosh Hashana everyone!

I'm Jewish and live in Israel! We celebrated yesterday though it wasn't very big. Just me, my parents, my brother, and my grandma. More family came today.

Honey cake is delicious!
