Posts MUST be several sentences long with proper grammar and spelling or they will be deleted - this forum is to discuss specific cards so other people can learn about their potential in the current metagame.

1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
It can stand as long as it is played with some energies attached to it.

2. What popular metagame decks is it used in?
Jumpluff

3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
You can make it as an active as long as there is a knocked out Pokemon before you switch this to active.

4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).
3/5. Quite interesting to use but you need to lose a prize card before you can knock out an opponent's Pokemon. Sometimes too risky to use if the opponent is Fire deck.

5. How's the artwork?
Quite good. The Shaymin Sky Forme is actually quite better artwork than this one.

1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
It's ok on it's own if you have some extra energies
2. What popular metagame decks is it used in?
I use it with Torterra X and Tangelgrowth X so they have 40+ HP
3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
Torterra X, Tangelgrowth X, and its great if you start with a smeargal and use color pick
4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).
4.5 if your using strictly a grass deck, 3.5 if it's a mix
5. How's the artwork?
Its cool but sky forme would be better
*This card can rock if you get it early, its amaxing to have a basic pokemon with 100+HP:)

1.) On its own, Shaymin LV.X isn't the best, nor is it the worst. The attack requires you to stack Energy to do some real damage, but after that...it's not solid. You need to spend a DCE and a Grass Energy to use it, and it's inconsistent. Energy Search along with Cheerleader's Cheer could be used to get the Energy, but you use it once, and you're done.

2.) None, really. There aren't many powerful Grass decks other than Jumpluff.

3.) Wow. I don't see much of a use unless you try teching it into some rogue Scizor SF or Vespiquen SF decks that utilize Cherrim, but it's too much of a hassle to bring the Shaymin up, Level Up, Retreat, and pray to not become snipe bait. Dialga G LV.X shuts this down, and then...Shaymin just becomes useless.

4.) Sorry, but no. 1.5/5

5.) Very cool nonetheless. I love the artwork.

How does this card stand on its own Is it good ' bad or have potential Is it worth being played. Well yes it is you mostley should just keep this on your bench and attack with it once and a while.

Is it populer in any meta game. Well its great with tangrowth and jumpluff

What combos can use it with? How so? Well if you have a lot of leaf energy cards in your discard pile and this shaymin is leveld up to the energy blow shaymin you can use tangrow x attack big growth and attach all the leaf energy on to shaymin.

Give it a rateing, and explain why you give it that ratting. You can also rate that card by rateing the thread it self ( Out of 5 stars ). Ill give it a 3/5 its a great card it can problematic and people will be trying hard to knock this cards out and it can be hard leveling up this card

How is the art work? The art work is real nice on this card.

1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
I think this card is Really good, First off It's body is a great tech in many Grass decks(Jumpluff) and the move is great... tons of energy!
2. What popular metagame decks is it used in?
Jumpluff of course, and maybe Tangrowth(190 hp tangrowth Lv.X when belted...Swallow Up FTW!)
3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
you can combo with Dawn stadium to heal
4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).
i give 4/5 stars! the attack and body are great!
5. How's the artwork?
i absolutely love it!

1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
By itself, it can do somewhat well depending on which Shaymin it's Leveled Up from. It's really personal preference, but it SHOULD be noted that this card is meant to be played as a bench sitter. If you want an offensive Shaymin Lv X, use the sky form version (but that's simply a revenge killer).

2. What popular metagame decks is it used in?
It's used in Jumpluff decks and the occassional Tankfeon deck (Leafeon Lv X leveled up from Leafeon RR). Thankfullness solves Jumpluff's HP problems. In Tankfeon, it's used to increase Leafeon Lv X's tanking abilities, increasing its HP up to a maximum total of 190 HP (Espeon MD, Black Belt, and Shaymin Lv X). Unfortunately, Tankfeon has see the last of its days when Umbreon UD came out.

3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
Any grass type, really, but its truely meant for either solving your HP problems or turning your grass types into uber tanks, such as Leafeon Lv X mentioned above or Meganium Prime to have 210 HP (Expert Belt included).

4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).
Very conditional. Although it provides nice HP beneifits, it's only good for grass types, thus its use is quite limited, especially considering other grass type support that can be potentially used over this. Shaymin Lv X should by no means be a priority in a game, but simply a convinience if you can get it out. Because of these factors it gets a 3/5 from me.

5. How's the artwork?
EXs, Lv Xs and Primes always have the best artwork out of anything else. This is no exception. 5/5

1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
love this card on its own not that great but when used with yanmega it is nice i'v done 330 damage with shaymin lvl x then all the energy is transferd to yanmega then you retreat shaymin to use yanmega with wind return to pull all energy attached to yanmega to your hand then repeat also for big draw power i use heracross with green draw and i also use sunflora with the pokepower sunshine grace to transfer energy i use meganium prime and also to protect the bench i use vespiquen from the new set and i also use dawn stadium to heal up. one time i did 1600 damage to a feraligatr because i used the sceptile with wild growth poke body and because feraligatr prime is weak to grass pokemon. i would give this deck a 5 out of 5 because of the great combo it has. the art work is cool so 4 out of 5 any one that wants to play against it let me know i would love to prove my point.

1) Shaymin has lots of potential. It doesnt stand well by itself but with yanmega/Leafeon/tangrowth it could be a very fun deck at league or a br. Worth being played in an {G}energy Mass deck.

2) Hardly any meta that it is used in but early occurences of Yanmega-Shaymin duo worked. But with all the better decks out there i would be surprised to see it being played competively(Still wishing).

3) Yanmega for the energy cycle of course, Play down 12 leaf energy for a massive KO then place those energies onto Yanmega (preferebly two to avoid a snipe) retreat and yanmega gets the retreat energy back and goes again for another mass damage attack. But also great with Tangrowth to get that beast ready with four energies and an extra 40 hp. Same goes for Leafeon X. Dawn Stadium is a healers blessing with mega energy running around.

4) I give it a 4.5 becuase Shaymin is a beast when up and running and to surprise your opponent's gyarados by taking it down (Matt). It is the best feeling in the world when they ask "how much damage"? The little flower lover that could. The only down side is that Shaymin can not give itself the extra 40 which is why it isn't a full five.

5) Artwork is cool, Shaymin looks pissed and ready to strike. Those beety eyes makes you wonder just how far this flower hedge hog will go, just see the fire burning in its soul. amazing. The grin he has going looks cool as well

1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
On its own it not so good unless you had extra energy in your hand
2. What popular metagame decks is it used in?
Tankfeon,Jumpluff and Any grass deck other than shaymin
3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
You can use it with leafeon, jumpluff and Meganium prime mainly any grass deck that can use a good health increase.
4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).
3.5/5 not so well but still works
5. How's the artwork?
4/5 I like it it looks awesome as if shaymin is about to attack you.

1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
On its own it has some decent attacks and seed flare can really be helpful if you need energy fast.
2. What popular metagame decks is it used in?
I guess Jumpluff and mine.
3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
I use it along with snowpoint temple and expert belt on turtwig GL. It has 170 hp, deals 50 damage, and heals 50 damage every turn.
4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).
I'd give it a 4/5. It is extremely useful for heal/life decks but sadly it doesn't increase it's own life.
5. How's the artwork?
I like all the LV.X and ex card artwork because they make them seem so evil or powerful. 4.5/5

1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?

ShayminX doesn't like being on its own since it offers itself no bonuses. But pair with every {G} type on the planet and they're all happy.

2. What popular metagame decks is it used in?

ShayminX sees use in {G} builds of all types, especially Jumpluff and the up-and-coming Torterra.

3. What combos can you use it with? How so?

I don't call it a combo, but the bonus from Thankfulness makes it way harder to knock out your {G} types.

4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).

4 out of 5. If it increased its own HP, it would get a perfect score, but then it would also be broken.

5. How's the artwork?

Artwork is about 8 out of 10. For being so Thankful, it looks a bit angry.

1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
It has unquie artwork but I don't play competively so I don't know.
2. What popular metagame decks is it used in?
I don't play competively.
3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
I don't play competively.
4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).
5/5 I love this card because Shaymin is one of my favorite legendaries.
5. How's the artwork?
Very nice and it makes Shaymin look fierce.

Well, Hmmmm,
1. i guess it's okay, i mean it's only leveling up a basic it's not like a 4th evolution LV.X like other one but it does make it weaker, the poke-body thankfulness is a good card if your running an all grass deck so that's pretty cool, it's attack seed flare is pretty standard and i would use it does 40+ for the price of 2 colorless(which a double colorless energy would be a use to minimize your turns to use it's attack) the attack is pretty good if it has potential to do more than 60 damage and for 3 energies and 100 HP it's a pretty strong stage 1 but it is rare.

2.Like everyone else is saying, a Jumpluff deck (That Mass Attack is beast)

3.HMMM. i've been thinking i really can't find a combo

4. if you running an all grass deck this is pretty reccomended 4/5

5.Not my favorite i've seen better LV.X artwork and it has a close up on it's face and when you stare at it you can see gamefreak horrible new designs (though 5th GEN. is holding pretty well i really like koromori, victini, and that grass one i can't pronounce

The card doesn't stand on it's own and it's not good in Jumpluff either. I have yet to see any modern Jumpluff lists run Shaymin and do incredibly well. Not saying it can't happen, but I just don't see where you find the room/how it doesn't hurt consistency. Anyone who is saying this is popular in Jumpluff is definitely out of touch with the metagame.

1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?
Doesn't stand very well on it's own, but be used great as a tech in alot of good decks.
2. What popular metagame decks is it used in?
Mainly in Jumpluff as a tech keeping the pluffs alive. I've also seen it used in decks like Tangrowth, Torterra and sometimes in beedrill.
3. What combos can you use it with? How so?
As I said befor it combos with jumpluff, torterr and Tangrowth.
4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).
I give it a 4/5 it loses 1 point for not havin a free retreat and the attack isn't that good
5. How's the artwork?
I realy like this artwork it makes Shaymin look really cool.

1. this card has potential. You can't just throw this card out there like some x's and dominate. But if you have grass pokemon on your bench this pokemon can dominate. Pokemon such as torterra would have 180 hp.

2. Jumpluff as many say. I think it would pair well with torterra because his hp would go up to 180 and getting four energies on him is a breeze with seed flare. You could use the secptile that has the ability to make grass energies worth two energies. This would allow you to spread energies easily.

3.As i mentioned, a torrterra sceptile and shaymin deck would create amazing combos.

4.I personally think this card deserves a 4.5. The attack i think is great because you can stack up your bench and take out your opponents pokemon. The ability is good. Weakness is the same for all x's(x2). Resistance is average. The downside is you can't retreat for free. Let's say you get your bench stacked, you have to give up an energy on shaymin to retreat. It's really not to big of a deal because you probably won't attack with shaymin x again because it's attack is really only good if you want to set up your bench. Shaymin is a card you can get out early in the battle and take over quickly, not a finisher.

5. The artworks good. The actually were able to make shaymin look good for shaymin. It's not my favorite looking x but it's good.

1.- it is a very good card, in a grass deck it will make a very good combo

2.- in a dp-on format torterra-shaymin-sceptile was a very popular deck and it was my first deck. now in the new format, with jumpluff or tangrowth

3.- torterra, shaymin and sceptile or jumpluff shaymin. with my torterra deck i can win against fire decks, another combo is with sceptile of arceus and sceptile of great encounters because sceptile will do 120 with 3 energies and it will have 160, now this deck will be great with leafeon lvx

4.- I give it a 5/5 because I got that card in my first and my best prerelease.
but for other people I give it a 3.5/5, is a very good card but a flygon or a gengar lvx can destroy it
its weakness is x2 (that is very bad) but it have a very good resistance and is very good. is slow because it retreat cost isn't free but you can send it to bench in one turn or less with a switch, warp point or using a lvx max. in conclusion is good but not very good

5.- the artwork is one of mi favorites ones

Whoa, what the fudge? Are you guys all drunk? Clearly you've never seen this card.

Hi, I'm Shaymin Lv. X. I'm a stage 1 (basically) with 100 HP and the flyest Poke-body EVER. I'm gonna throw a shitton of energy on my good buddy Yanmega from the bench and do a million damage while doing so. Next turn, I'm gonna retreat (lol1retreatcost), have the aforementioned companion Yanmega grab that energy back, and proceed to return all the energy I just attached to him back to my hand. Oh, did I mention Yanmega's 140 HP? I must not have. Let's also not forget his lovely retreat cost of 0!

Worried about getting sniped? Lol, Vespiquen from Undaunted. Worried about status? Run a 2-1-2 Venusaur line, but that's a little out there.

Edit: Feel free to throw in Carnivine as an early startup builder, on top of obvious staples that will get your Shaymin/Yanmega out quickly. Rare Candy or Broken Time-Space for Venusaur (and general speed), or Burned Tower if you really want.

Edit2: Someone should test out this decklist.
