If my Shaymin Lv.X (landform) gets KO'd, do all my grass pokemon lose their 40 hp boost? And if so If say i had a Yanmega on my bench with a base hp of 90 +40 for the power and having 10 damage counters on it get KO'd as well?

Yes. It's often why a player doesn't sweat Shaymin Landforme X being out(too much, anyway), for as soon as they knock that out, any pokemon that were still alive thanks to the 40 HP(their damage equaling or passing their regular HP) boost get knocked out as well.

The ability seems good on paper, and can still be useful, but, people will go for that Shaymin as soon as they can. Don't try to rely TOO much on it.

Alright, thank you. I am more interested in his attack when paired with Yanmega SV but thought I should know how the extra hp works.

i would consider Snowpoint Temple if you don't like Dawn Stadium

with snowpoint, all your pokes get a good HP boost

IF they are all basic. SP decks probably wouldn't mind having that out. Dawn Stadium is a little more focused though, so it's not as easy for your opponent to use. And who knows, it could save Yanmega from getting knocked out along with Shaymin if it's damage is past it's normal HP.

Don't get me wrong, it's not negative at all. But, as I said before, don't RELY on it. However, one idea is to abuse the HP with SP pokemon(kinda limited, I know) and use Poketurn once their HP is lower than there normal HP. It will keep them from getting knocked out right away after Shaymin is KO'd it's self. And plus, if you attack with Shaymin, the energy you take from the SP pokemon can be used to make the attack more powerful, and also lay down the energies back on the pokemon. Pretty neat, huh?

So if you had three energies on something like Vespiquen 4, they would go back on it, allowing it to attack right away, and you just did 100 damage to your opponent's pokemon.

Of course, you could just continuously use Poketurn intill you don't have anymore in your hand, but I think that's situational.
