Well, this way, you can't really vote properly IMO. Cuz if thats the case, I really don't want all three to get one point from me, just the very best. If you catch what I mean. This seems far more imbalanced because somebody who picks a number 3 as "lesser of the evils" will automatically give that story the same amount of credit as that person's Nr 1.

I, for one, don't want Shades of Gray to get the same amount of points as Story Nr. 1 from my vote, simply because I feel Story Nr. 1 is far superior to that one. I think that goes for more people.

I agree with Lou, I don't think that stories that got three votes for third place to tie with the ones that get three first places.

1. Cerulean Dreams
2. #9
3. When the Murkrow Caws

Haha, looks like I will have to do the point system regardless, otherwise we will have ourselves a four-way tie.

RESULTS:

Mystery Author #1: 5 votes, 9 points total (Freak : P)
Mystery Author #2: 0 votes, 0 points total (Sweet Dawn Berlitz)
Cerulean Dreams: 5 votes, 14 points total (Lou Cypher)
Zeldamon: 0 votes, 0 points total (42 Chocolate)
When the Murkrow Caws: 5 votes, 7 points total (Charidude)
If... : 3 votes, 8 points total (Pokemaniac)
A Midsummer Festival like no other: 0 votes, 0 points total (Pokenerd)
Dark Shades of Gray: 3 votes, 6 points total (PMJ)
Mystery Author 9: 5 votes, 10 points total (Daren)
Child of Destiny: 4 votes, 5 points total (No78)

So, the winner is Lou Cypher! Second place goes to Daren, third to Freak. Congratulations to the winners and a big thanks to everyone who participated. I will leave this open so everyone can talk/brag about the results.

lol, the winner's banned xP

I wasn't too happy with my entry. After the voting started, it didn't fit the theme too well. .-.

Can't wait for the next contest.

Eh, I had an idea and I'm glad I participated. Even though I didn't get any votes, I'm happy I participated.

Depends on the new topic if I'll join the next contest.

I didn't join, but I did enjoy reading the stories. =3

Congrats Lou. =]

Maybe I'll enter the next comp...

I thought his name was Lou Cypher, scampy. >__> Anyway, congratulations. Didn't really have the time to read through them all this time.

dmaster out.

And my name is scampy, not acampy

But yeah, congrats to the winners, next competition will be up tomorrow!

Good. I hope it's going something I can do. I'll need to think up an idea, if I can, for the competition.

Oh and Lou won eh? Grats. But, hes banned now, isnt he?

Now that I'm not totally distracted, would anyone be interested to see me finish my story? I'll post the part done here so you guys can decide. I'm totally indifferent to it, so it's your choice.

Darkness, a veil over the forest. The stars and moon cast light upon the trees, feebly attempting to illuminate the secrets of the wood. Pokémon filled the forest with the sound of sleeping, and dreaming, nestled in their home, quiet. Around a clearing, the moonlight above created a circle of lights, shining over a patch of eggs. A yellow tint colored the shells, which were moving ever so slightly, silently. Inside, life waited to be free.

As the moon began to fall from the sky and creatures stirred, still the eggs waited. But no Pokémon came, no mother or father. But it was hatching day, and they sensed unknowingly, that they would have to leave either way.

As the sun climbed up past the clouds, the true awakening began. Yellow mice with black-tipped ears and lightning tails, electrical currents beating through their body as their lifeblood. Nothing to see, nothing to hear, eyes and ears never used before. But felt the membrane around them and knew without knowing that they must be free of it. The bursting effort of new life lashed out, ramming at the walls of their momentary cage. To them, the world outside was as dark and unknown as the world inside their shells, and though their curiosity peaked, and they were fighting with all their might to be out in the open forest, they never knew that they would not see the light of day.

The tree fell, and it made no difference whether or not it made a sound, to the Pokémon who had only just experienced the beginnings of life, and been ended with a single instance of neglect.

I'm baaaaaack, and...I won? Didn't see that coming. PMJ only 6 points? Wow, no offense PMJ, but it does seem as if this mask author thing is for the best.

There was mixed level, but several stories were pretty good IMO, here's hoping for higher level in Round 3.

Don't worry about it. I'm all for this method. I'd rather write a dumb story and lose honestly than write a dumb story and win because my name's pink.

This round was very hard for me to write for. I couldn't think of anything for the longest time - you'll note that my entry was one of the last submitted, not to be cool or slick, but because I really could not think of anything ._.

I wasn't really pleased with how my entry was, either. I had to take a lot of liberties, but I still think it was a neat little idea.

The latest competition should prove to be a little easier for me, but only time will tell.

Oh.

My.

Gawd.

scampy, you have just made me pretty mad. I am not lying when I say I wrote #1. And you know it. I came in third place.

Whoops. Sorry dude, it's pretty confusing with so many PMs in my box.

Well congrats! :p

*EDIT*

I decided to post in this thread to say this.

I was pretty much the underdog in this competition because:

1. I've only written one story before this, for PC3.
2. I'm 11. I'm pretty sure I'm the youngest one in this competition.

Gratz Lou!
