Shots

@^: mines always just pink :/

Shots just give you a bit of what they claim to prevent. Not enough to activate the virus, just enough for your immune system to know how to fight them. So unless your doctor/nurse gives you too much of said virus/flu your OK :)

I think that they are pointless, I have never had one every, and I don't ever plan to, I have a strong immune system already and shots just make you get sick. The is my view on the matter

Meh. Shots aren't too terrible. You just kind of have to relax and close your eyes. You close your eyes so you don't see the doctor putting the needle near/in you, making you tense up as a reflex. If you tense up, then whatever limb you got the shot in is pretty much useless. :/
Shots keep you from getting the flu. ;o

In England some people have to have BCG Shots (I think they're called) . They only give them to some people for one reason or another. To be honest, I would rather have the shot to prevent Tuberculosis than get it and have to have a shot every thirty minutes...

The human body has a NATURAL disease fighting system. Shot's only claim to make it better. I'm not so sure about that though. I know people who've never had shots and are just fine!

^ Well vaccinations prepare the body for a disease. You recieved a modified, harmless version of the disease through the shot. Your body builds immunity through preparation for the real disease. That is why vaccinations are important. Some don't have very strong immune systems so preparation is vital.

It is also not a claim, Im pretty sure they are effective...

Like many others, I hate getting shots. It's so unenjoyable. But sadly, sometimes they are necessary so I have no choice haha. Oddly enough, I haven't had a shot in a while... I suppose we'll see what happens. :3

Shots don't hurt at all for me, they used to hurt for me when I was like 3, but now I don't feel anything anymore, and that was the age of 5. I haven't gotten a shot since and I've been very healthy. Plus the only reason why it hurts people so much because they think about it and sometimes even whine and move around too much when the needle is inside.

I don't think they're all that bad. I usually get nervous right before the shot, but a minute later I'm leaving with only a slight sting in my arm. And they help very much, so it's worth it.

I haven't gotten shots for a while. When I do, I seriously don't like them, they are just annoying. I find a way to escape the shots, but before I know the needle is coming slowly my way. I seriously don't like things that are sharp and when they are injected in my skin.

You NEED to get shots, not just for yourself, but for others as well. There's quite a few people out there who are unable to get shots for various reasons, which means they rely on those who can to not get sick. It's called "herd immunity", as soon as vaccination rates drop under a certain number, these people, as well as everyone who didn't get vaccines because they didn't think it was needed (like you guys) can and will get sick. Mumps, a disease which can easily be prevented by vaccines, is rearing its ugly head again in places where vaccination rates are low, precisely because of people like you or your parents. Distrusting vaccines is not just madness, it's murder.

Also, there is no link between vaccines and any major disease, it's unlikely you'll be "sick" for more than a week, nothing compared to what the diseases you're being vaccinated against will do to you.

As for shots, they're a mild annoyance. I don't mind really mind, they come very infrequently anyways.

I really hate needles. They get me all tense when I'm around them. But it sucks, because I have to take Embrel [I'm on a break right now], which is a shot I have to take weekly for my rheumatoid arthritis. It gave me another reason to hate Mondays.

I hate shots cause they hurt and if you get them if like the muscle it gets your muscle so tense you cAN'T MOVE IT.

I, personally, don't mind shots, and stay calm when I get them.

They don't hurt a lot, just a small sting.

They're ok.

On another note, shots are needed or at least preferred to keep us healthy and to prevent diseases.

Health is worth a shot.
