Should I pull apart my Reshiphlosion deck?

With the new EXs coming out does Reshiphlosion have a place in this format? I just don't see how it would be able to counter some of the new threats. So, should I take apart my deck? Or is there some way that I might be able to fix it?

I would say wait a bit, and see what happens.

However, I would put money on Reshiphlosion no longer being viable, but who knows? There could be some new Rehi/Typhlosion/Magnezone/Zekrom EX deck that's pretty good, and you may want to try. All I'm trying to say is don't sell all your Typhosions and Rehirams, because no one ever REALLY knows what the format is going to be.

Sound advice I think :)

I guess we don't really know what will happen; I just don't think it looks too good. I was thinking maybe adding in some Reshiram EX but that would probably mess up the whole energy discard thing.

I wouldn't tear it apart just yet, we still need to see all the ND scans and if you still want to use Reshiram after ReshiPhlosion dies out you can use Reshiboar EX (or MagneBoar) with non-EX Reshiram as well (though I advise that you use the EX one with Emboar), provided we get stuff like Heavy Ball and Cilan.

Yeah, just like the advice above don't get rid of them :p

I play Reshiphlosion for awhile, and pulled it apart but I still have 4 Typhlosion's in my No Trades / Collection folder just incase there is like a magical combo that's been missed that might come up :)

I won't be getting rid of my primes till about closer to rotation, and some of the primes *cough* kingdra *cough* I will be keeping in collection and won't sell :p

So at most, pull the deck apart and build something else if you want! But hang onto the cards if you do pull it apart to build something, don't trade / sell them just yet ^_^

I would start practicing with Reshiboar, just in case. I think Reshiram will still be viable in the ND format, and Reshiphlosion is still okay now, but I think Emboar is the partner for Reshiram EX, not Typhlosion.

On the other hand, that's what we all said about the original Reshiram, so who knows?

Some Japanese players have been using Reshiram/Typhlosion with a Mewtwo EX tech, so maybe it will still be viable haha.

Funny thing is I just decided to trade my Emboars :p I got them back when I wanted to build a Reshiram deck and had heard of ReshiBoar but it was also the time when ReshiPhlosion just came out and everyone found out that it was better than ReshiBoar.

Ah well, anyways, I guess I'll be hanging on to the cards at least. I might take the deck apart because there are some trainers that I can use for other decks in there but I'll definitely be keeping the pokemon!

And Mewtwo EX....yeah, I guess we'll be seeing a lot of him. Maybe not a bad idea to have him as a tech...

This has been in my mind before. Adding 1-2 Reshiram EXs to make your damage output stronger also doesn't hurt. IMO the line would look something like

4-2-4 Typh
2 Reshiram
2 Reshiram EX
2 Mewtwo EX

Something like that.. you could go 3-1 favoring the non-EX. Bottom line, don't trade those Typhs just yet, they could still be useful.

I actually run a 3-2-3 Typhlosion line because I also run a 2-2 Ninetales line...and also I run Cleffa(which I was actually going to take out so...) but I wonder if maybe it could work if the line looked something like this..

3-2-3 Typhlo
2 Reshiram
2 Reshi EX
2 Mewtwo EX
1-1 Ninetales

idk though...I do like the idea of adding in Mewtwo EX..not so sure about Reshi. And I think if do run Mewtwo I should probably throw in some DCE?

EDIT: (100th post woot! :D)

Yeah, a couple of DCE should suffice.. also helps with charging Reshi EX and outrage.

I don't particularly like Ninetales because it tends to be clunky and 4 cyndaquils is a must because of prizing and catcher.

alright, well I'll definitely add in a couple of DCE then...but Ninetales for me is a must because I don't run Engineer's or anything and I've never had a problem with the cyndaquil being prized or anything...(I use the HS ones so they have higher hp in case of catcher..)

Trust me, anyone will play four of their main acceleration basic unless their deck can function without it. Try a heavy supporter line of Juniper, Cheren/Sage's and Prof Oak's New Theory, it should give you the speed.
