Should I trade my Swampert line with my brother's Empoleon line? I need some tips. If I do check out my other deck on which pokemon compliment an Empoleon, like any Ground type.

It depends on your meta. If your meta is filled with basics, you might want to go with Swampert as basic Pokemon does less damage to him. Of course, you'll need Fighting Energy as well. Empoleon is more like spreading, where you don't need a different type of energy. If your meta deals with some spread problems, work with Empoleon.
It's really great to know which cards were talking about rather than a trade like:
"Magikarp for Feebas is it good?!?!"
There are 2 in format Swampert and 5 Empoleon lines. How is anyone going to know if the trade is half decent if you don't explain what cards are involved :S

The Swampert is from DP: Great Encounters and my bro's Empoleon is from Diamond and Pearl.
Don't do it as that Empoleon is not very good. That Swampert is useable if you get the other swamperts from SV and make a deck out of them.
Yeah but the thing is I only have 1 of each stage except for Mudkip(2), when I have alot of the Empoleon line. I was trying to make a Machamp(stormfront) line but i can't find anybody who is willing to trade for my cards anyways...
If you have loads of the Empoleon line and not much of one line so whats the point of trading for more of the same cards (Note: I'm under the assumption that he has 4-3-4 Empoleon of some discription not 4-3-2 or less).
If you have the SAME empoleon line, then don't trade. If you have different piplup, prinplup and empoleon cards, then you should trade.
When I say I have alot of the Empoleon line I mean I have alot of Piplups, 1 Prinplup, and I could get another one and an Empoleon. while with the Swampert I only have 1 of each stage, except Mudkip I have 2.

Playable wise, swampert would be your choice. Other than that, it's all based on personal situation.
Ya his pokepower is wooked good, considering I play a Water based deck.
