Should TV programs be allowed to use subliminal messaging?

I wasn't sure whether to post this here or in the Entertainment board, feel free to move it if's in the wrong section. ^.^

This is about something I found out about the new My Little Pony show:

A person who worked on the show said they used subliminal messaging to promote radical feminism.

Now I agree with feminism, but I think it should be about EQUALITY not having either sex be better than the other, but this doesn't seem to be with the MLP show.

Personally I think, even if you think its of artistic value, you shouldn't use underhanded tricks like subliminal messaging to promote controversial ideas, like when it said "SEX" in The Lion King.

IMHO i doubt this guy is for real

just like people who think Pokemon is satanic and evil on purpose by its creators

HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA

That's all I've got to say.

Okay, I lied.
First, subliminal messages don't work; if the image passes too quick to see, you can't see it.
Second, that idiot wasn't talking about subliminal messaging at all; MLP makes quite clear the things they try to teach, even too clear sometimes. In any case, the series does have an agenda, and a very progressive agenda at that, but yes, from a very macho or... how are they are called? men's rights crowd... well, I can't remember how those particular idiots call themselves, but yes, the agenda of MLP does go against them. Sharing, not being competitive/ruthless, accepting others, non-violence, a universe ruled by women, and more are concepts that go against all that which those bastards stand for; and that's just the concepts... the use of color, shapes and art style are like a shovel to the nuts for them, not to mention the fact that so many men seem to enjoy them ("Lots of Felines", they would call them, and yes, I know it will say meow something... damn censor).

They can certainly work; there are more forms of subliminal messaging than simple text.

Feminism literally is about equality between both genders. That is what it is! What you're thinking of is the common misconception of what femenism is: misandry. This is incorrect; feminism is the equality between genders.

Back on topic about the Subliminal Messages.

Honestly, I don't think anything can be done about subliminal messages in shows. If a show really wants to get away with it, I think they will find a way to do it, maybe even very secretly, which I know is the point of subliminal messages. Like if a cartoon wants someone to go buy cigarettes, they might make the main superhero smoke. Or if they don't want people to smoke, they might make the main villain smoke. We may never know.

So all in all, to answer the question, yes, I think TV programs should be allowed to use subliminal messaging.

May I ask why feminism is called feminism when it can just be called equality? Putting one genders name equal to equality... Isn't really equality.

Anyway, TV programs shouldn't use subliminal messaging, but key word is 'shouldn't'. They shouldn't, but they can. I honestly don't mind subliminal messaging as long as it doesn't process as 'KILL EVERYONE' or 'SET THE TRAIN ON FIRE' or 'DON'T DO THE IRONING'
