This is the team I will be using for VGC 2011. Let me know how it is
Whimsicott
-Leech Seed
-Encore
-Taunt
-Giga Drain
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
Nature: Bold
EVs: 252 Defense, 248 Sp. Defense, 8 Speed
An incredibly useful Pokemon. Perfect for stopping sweepers like Excadrill or Reuniclus. Hit opponents where it hurts with Taunt to stop Swords Dance and Calm Mind. Thanks to Prankster Taunt has priority. If I eventually do need to swap out, Encore forces the opponent to keep repeating an attack. Great for those trying to sweep without Whimsicott in play. Leech Seed is a standard on a Grass type like this, and Giga Drain allows for even more recovery.
Thundurus
-Taunt
-Thunderbolt
-Hidden Power (Ice)
-Focus Blast
Item: Expert Belt
Ability: Prankster
Nature: Modest
EVs: 4 HP, 252 Sp. Attack, 252 Speed
The ultimate Electric type, this thing can destroy an entire team with these 4 attacks. Taunt, like with Whimsicott, has priority. And this thing is faster than Whimsicott, meaning Whimsicott becomes completely useless (unless I'm facing the rare attacking set). Thunderbolt is basic for Electric types like this, and Hidden Power (Ice) takes out Dragon, Ground, and Flying types. Other Thunduruses also will have trouble. Focus Blast takes out the pesky Steel and Rock types, such as Excadrill and Ferrothorn. I prefer not to use Nasty Plot because it already has such high Sp. Attack, and to prevent the risk of getting Taunted myself.
Haxorus
-Outrage
-Brick Break
-Earthquake
-Night Slash
Item: Choice Scarf
Ability: Mold Breaker
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 4 HP, 252 Attack, 252 Speed
OH FOR THE LOVE OF GOD SOMEONE STOP THIS THING! With Choice Scarf, Haxorus lives up to its name by causing major hax. A great 430+ Attack, plus 400+ Speed, Haxorus can cause major destruction with just Outrage. Outrage on a Dragon-type like this is just complete pwn. Brick Break takes down Ice types, and Earthquake KO's Electrics and Levitators like Gengar and Eelektross. Night Slash is really just filler, good for Reuniclus and other Psychic and Ghost types.
Chandelure
-Flamethrower
-Shadow Ball
-Energy Ball
-Psychic
Item: Choice Specs
Ability: Flash Fire
Nature: Timid
EVs: 4 HP, 252 Sp. Attack, 252 Speed
Another Special tank. With Choice Specs, one Flamethrower can KO even a wall like Cofagrigus. The perfect switch-in for Whimsicott, drawing in Fire type attacks. The only issue with Chandelure is its speed. Not the fastest thing in the world. However, the 600+ Sp. Attack makes up for it (greatly). Energy Ball takes care of Water and Ground-types, while Shadow Ball is for the Ghosts. Psychic KO's Conkeldurr and other Fighting-type Paybackers.
Conkeldurr
-Bulk Up
-Mach Punch
-Drain Punch
-Stone Edge
Item: Flame Orb
Ability: Guts
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 120 HP, 252 Attack, 136 Sp. Defense
Oh. My. God. This Pokemon is a monster. 624 Attack with a single Bulk Up, plus 339 Defense. And that's WITHOUT Guts activating. With Guts, Conkeldurr reaches an astounding 936 Attack (). A single Mach Punch can destroy heavy-Defense Pokemon like Skarmory and Hippowdon. Seriously, don't mess with this guy. Drain Punch restores the lost HP from burn, and Stone Edge pwns Flying types.
Reuniclus
-Trick
-Shadow Ball
-Psyshock
-Focus Blast
Item: Toxic Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
Nature: Quiet
EVs: 172 HP, 32 Defense, 252 Sp. Attack, 52 Sp. Defense
This guy is an amazing crippler. Start out with Trick to transfer over Toxic Orb, poison the target (I would have used Flame Orb if Conkeldurr didn't have it). Even if Trick ends up failing, Magic Guard prevents damage from poison. Not to mention it prevents other special conditions from befalling upon this guy. Psyshock is great for dealing with Special Walls, and Shadow Ball destroys Ghosts. Focus Blast is for Scrafty, this thing's worst nightmare.
And that is my team. Feel free to leave comments or suggestions
