Thanks for the suggestions guys in this thread:

Though I would really love to use petertclo's strategy, I simply don't have the funds(or luck) to get Mewtwo EXs. xP

Use Vanilluxe's switch ability with the right pokemon to damage pokemon in your favor.
-Chandelure: Use it's ability to snipe the opponent's bench. If I can get both out, then I can switch them around and put 6 dmg counters on one (for this to work one Chande has to be active at the start of the turn).
-Rotom: Pretty much a sacrifice pokemon during the switching. I plan on using this against energy pumping Mewtwo EXs when they end up on the bench.
-Cofagrigus w/ EXs: Use the EXs as dmg tanks. When they are close to be KO'ed, switch with Cofagrigus and use it's first attack to move all of those counters off and plop it on the opponent. Serious dmg and a heal.

Just a fun deck because I love Vanilluxe and Chandelures. Thank you for any and all suggestions to make it better! <3

RE: Slippery Shadows [HGSS-ND]

A dodrio would be helpful and vileplume too so the bench won't get catchered. Dodrio so you can put 9 damage counters in one turn. I'd cut some IQ or Cilan because getting out energies won't be a problem, and cut electric energy, water, and and replace them with rainbow. I think cofagrigous only works well with vileplume and reuniclus to move the damage to high hp pokemon such as regigigas. I'd also add more chandelure and add twins in the place of energy retrieval and some others. More rescue is also needed.

So that is legal. o: I thought about it, but I just didn't know if there was some sort of limit to switching. If I put in some Switch cards, could I even do 12 dmg counters with Chande's ability?

Ah so Cofagrigous strategy is entirely it's own deck.

Idk if I'd add Twins. That card likes to hide from me when I need it most lol. If I can get a Shaymin EX, I might consider that instead.

So lets see...
- x2 Yamask
- x2 Cofagrigous
- x2 Rotom
- x1 IQ
- x1 Electric E
- x4 Water E
- x2 Psychic E

+ x2 Doduo
+ x2 Dodrio
+ x2 Prism E
+ x2 Rescue E
+ x2 Oddish
+ x1 Gloom
+ x2 Vileplume
+ x1 Chandelure

Having 3 stage 2 lines..that wouldn't be too slow would it?

RE: Slippery Shadows [HGSS-ND]

There is only a limit to retreating. Yes but chandelure is best with vileplume so the other needed pokemon don't get catchered. I'd run about 3 oddish because it can always be catchered. Twins is also needed. I'd also add some rainbow too.

RE: Slippery Shadows [HGSS-ND]

If you can set this up without draw supporters, you're amazing.

Add oak, N, and Sages.
Energy lines could probably be dropped, 1/3 of deck on energies means a lot of dead draws.

So I tested it out last night and this was the biggest problem.^ Because of draw lack for supporters, it was extremely slow to set up.

-x1 Rocky Helm
-x1 Energy Retrieval

+x2 Prof Oaks New Theory

The catcher issue didn't seem too much of a problem because of the energy retrieval. Energy themselves were fine. By the time I was desperate for an energy, I already had one of the supporters in my hand to get some. So idk what I would take out for that extra Oddish lol.

RE: Slippery Shadows [HGSS-ND]

2 drawing supporters are definitely not enough. I think that about 8 and on is a safe amount. Try cutting some energy and more rocky helmet.

RE: Slippery Shadows [HGSS-ND]

Actually, im pretty sure if you use chandy's poke-ability, move him to the bench and then to the active, you cant use his power again.

RE: Slippery Shadows [HGSS-ND]

^ That's why I said you would need more chandys in one of my previous posts. The answer to Mameshiba's question in an earlier post is yes but it would require 4 chandys, a switch, a dodrio, and a vanilluxe but no vileplume so it would be very risky and almost impossible.

RE: Slippery Shadows [HGSS-ND]

Please update the thread title to have the main Pokémon in it.
