So I know there is a thread about this "Sleeping Fat Man" but I feel that it is harder to get thoughts on my specific version.

Pokemon: 16
  • 4 Snorlax - Fates Collide
  • 3 Drowsee
  • 3 Hypno
  • 2 Remoraid
  • 2 Octillery
  • 1 Swablu
  • 1 Altaria

Items: 35
  • 1 Town Map
  • 2 Battle Compressor
  • 3 Level Ball
  • 2 Ultra Ball
  • 2 Fairy Garden
  • 1 Parallel City
  • 3 Fighting Fury Belt
  • 4 VS Seeker
  • 4 Puzzle of Time
  • 2 Evosoda
  • 2 Professor Sycamore
  • 2 Wally
  • 2 Crushing Hammer
  • 3 Enhanced Hammer
  • 2 Lysandre

Energy: 9
  • 4 Double Colorless Energy
  • 5 Fairy Energy

So there can be a lot of flaws in this. The obvious thing is put the opponent to sleep and attack with Snorlax. Octillery for draw support (I don't have any Shaymin) and the Altaria for weakness against fighting which is popular right now.

The battle compressor it to get rid or Altaria if I'm not against a fighting deck or any extra Drowsee or Hypno if I'm all set up.

Fairy Garden and Fairy Energy for free retreat.

Level Ball will get out EVERYONE except Snorlax.

I was going to play Mew in this for easier set up with a Dimension valley but that takes the HP way down and I feel is just another set up that clogs the deck.

I was also thinking of playing some other energies but honestly the attacks of Hypno and Octillery are garbage.

The Hammers are to slow the opponent down because set up can take some time with this.

Hey there, my friend was brainstorming ideas for a Snorlax / Hypno deck, and I'll probably pass on some of your ideas onto him, but for now I'll shoot you some opinions on this list!

Firstly, I think the Fairy Energy / Fairy Garden is a cool idea, especially given the high return cost of Snorlax, though I wouldn't recommend using it that much in terms of Octillery as you probably want to pop as much energy as possible on Snorlax.

My changes totally neglect the idea to include Mew, but that could work pretty well. I also don't rate Hammers a great deal, although I appreciate their importance here, but have opted to take them out in the suggestions. Jumping to it, ideas below paired with reasoning:

-2 Battle Compressor (Not really required in my opinion, if you wish to ditch stuff you could always use them in combination with Ultra Ball instead.)
-1 Parallel City (Not as useful as Fairy Garden.)
-2 Evosoda (Switched out for a different focus, discussed below.)
-3 Enhanced Hammer (Not critical.)
-1 Lysandre (One with maxed VS Seeker works for everyone else, so why not join the party?)
-2 Crushing Hammer (Not critical.)
-2 Wally (Switched out for a different focus, discussed below.)

+1 Xerosic (Because Garbodor would be a pain in the butt.)
+1 Hex Maniac (Because Vileplume, Trevenant and such would be a pain in the butt.)
+2 N (Just a really useful draw supporter.)
+1 Professor Sycamore (Just a really useful draw supporter.)
+2 Brigette (Helps you get out three basic Pokémon, allowing you to use the Level Balls for evolving.)
+1 Fairy Garden (More useful than Parallel City.)
+1 Level Ball (If it can get almost all your Pokémon, max it out.)
+1 Ultra Ball (Just super helpful, and can reduce your hand for better Octillery draws.)
+2 Float Stone (Just in case the Fairy Garden play falls through, and you'll probably want to be putting energy on Snorlax 100% of the time.)
+1 Fairy Energy (There was one space left, and five seemed a little low.)

I'm not entirely sold on the use of Puzzle of Time as those four slots could be used for other useful cards (e.g. Teammates, more energy, etc.), but I do appreciate the need to recover those Double Colourless Energy. But yes, hopefully these comments have been more than not helpful at all!

You might want to consider Mew FC and dimension valley, so you can attack for a single DCE attachment

Thank you. My thought with the parallel city is that there are a few people at my league that have decks that utilize MANY benched pokemon. I was thinking of Xerosic since I have the VS seekers already too.

I still don't know about Mew. That was my initial idea but with the HP dropping to less than half of Snorlax and filling up deck space I am a bit concerned it would actually slow down play than speed it up with the dimension valley.

I would disagree. The single energy attachment is crucial. Would Night March be nearly as successful if it required 2 energy attachments? I would give this a try it works well :)

If I did that I think I would take out Swablu since any weakness could be avoided by using one or the other. Would you only take out some energies and stadiums or go all in with psychic and dimension?

so some food For thought is you could use water energy and Manaphy EX as your free retreat option that way you can use the mew and Valley while also giving you a way to retreat your Octillerys, Hypnos, and snorlax for free. Also you could try to use about 7 energy's and max elixirs to accelerate your deck a bit more. Other than that you definitly needs some more draw and max ultra balls to get snorlax out with 2 level balls for Drowsee, Hypno, Etc. Also not sure how well it would work but Im a fan of AT articuno so if your confident with your elixers they can come in handy with winning the prize trade.

Oh. I like that. I have a Manaphy in my collection too.

So I did a few test runs and I really don't like playing Mew. Although having g to only put down a DCE is nice it's a bit complex to make work and often I would just have a Mew. The attack that retrieves a pokemon is nice but with 50HP it's gone fast. As far as Snorlax having fighting weakness goes I was thinking of having Mew but with Snorlax at 180HP with a FFB and Mew only at 90 it doesn't make sense. After a lot of playing around I actually think I'm ditching Mew, Dimension valley, and the psychic energy. I'm not going to replay the fairy garden since I can just play magnify and get that out more easily with any Ultra ball, or Bridgette. That leave some more open space for a few more supporters.

I'm going to throw back in Parallel City. I know it is not the best but I don't need anything for weakness or retreat with the bench that I have and so I'm just thinking that restricting other people or just using it to get rid of another stadium is worth it.

Side note. I was trying to think of a good name for this deck. Since it's basically a Snorlax at EX level and that is my only main hitter I'm thinking EX-snorlax, or Ex-Lax for short. lol.

Theres allot of stuff you can take out for for energy and elixers. Evosoda is not a good card, Hammers and Puzzle of time is a great combo but not necessary so take out the crushing hammers. then take off a wally and that should leave you with room for 2 extra energy 3 elixirs, and you need more draw support so get a N. If your not going to use mew then your stadium of choice is up to you. Parrelel city and chaos town could both help but not much so you could almost not use stadiums and mayb throw in a Lugia EX for stadium destruction as well as an alternative attacker
