my son wanted me to post this and see if the community has any input to make it better.
He is younger so price of cards is something he would like to keep lower. And he has all cards in this deck already, he wants to make it "better" this is for extended play.
2 mew 29 fates collide
3 meowstic flash fire
3 espurr flashfire
3 hoopa steam siege (non ex)
2 trubbish gen
2 garbrodor gen
2 alakazam ex fates collide
1 m alakazam ex fates collide

2 lysandre
2 professor sycamore
2 Wally
2 Pokemon fan club
2 evosoda
2 energy retrieval
2 ultra ball
2 level ball
3 professor letter
2 red card
2 town map
3 fighting fury belt
2 bent spoon
2 dimension valley

4 mystery energy
8 psychic energy

So he has 3 different starts with this deck, using hoopa/mew to rotate portal strikes
Spread damage with alakazam or hyperspace punch with hoopa to set up ko's with m alakazam
Same as before but use ear influence to move damage to weak Pokemon for easy prize cards.

First of all, is that deck meant for Standard or Expanded format play? If Standard, then certain cards like Dimension Valley and Mystery energy have rotated out and need to be replaced.

I also run an M Alakazam EX deck too, but I use a 4-3 M Alakazam EX and 4 Hoopa (STS) along with some other supporting Pokémon (1 of which is Meowstic (just a 1-1 line though)) . Hoopa is my designated starter; M Alakazam EX "cleans up" damaged opponent's Pokémon. I'd first suggest using a "stronger" M Alakazam EX line (like a 4-3 or 3-2) and add more Hoopa.

Also, for comparison purposes, consider reviewing other examples of this deck in this Forum (you just need to search (upper right of screen) for "Alakazam"). Afterwards, revise your original post and further suggested comments can be offered

thanks for the reply TuxedoBlack,
My son's original deck had just 3 Alakazam EX and no Mega's, but he got lucky with a booster pack pull and I think he is pretty happy with how the Mega fits into his deck. Ill show him your post and see if he is wanting to switch out some of this meowstics (honestly they are his third choice as far as clean up go)
What do you think for the trainers? i suggested to him to add 2 more professor sycamores and i think he is going to put those in.
Once again, thanks for the reply.

For trainers, I would recommend adding 2 N from Fates Collide, along with at least one more ultra ball, and, if he'll be running more Mega Alakazams, Mega Alakazam Spirit Links from Fates Collide.

...What do you think for the trainers?
For this deck, I'm currently testing the following set of Trainers:

1 Ace Trainer - I expect the starting Hoopa(s) to be KOd
3 Alakazam Spirit Link
1 Delinquent
1 Fisherman
1 Giovanni's Scheme
2 Judge
2 Lysandre
2 Mega Turbo
2 N
1 Ninja Boy
1 Olympia
3 Parallel City
1 Professor Birch's Observations
3 Professor sycamore
1 Professor's Letter
1 Skyla
1 Super Rod
1 Team Flare Grunt
3 Ultra Ball
4 VS Seeker

Before commenting on the Trainers in your original post, please first revise it (some cards listed have rotated out).

The meowstic s were reprinted and he is building for extended play so the dimension valley and mystery energy are still playable.
