I have been making banners with my friend Electric Pokemon Master(EPM)
and i wanted to get your opinion on them-
Here is how to make a simple pokemon banner using GIMP 2.6-
Step 1. Click File and click new.
Step 2. Enter the size you want the banner to be.
Step 3. Click Layer and Click delete Layer.
Step 4. Click Layer again and click new Layer.
Step 5. Go to the left and click Paintbrush Tool and paint the whole banner Black.
Step 6. Then go to the left and click Blend Tool, and pick your pattern.
Step 7. Click Mode and put it to Diference, then Drag it on to your banner and keep dragging it until you like it.
Step 8. (optional) After that, click shape and put it to anything you like, then drag it again to your banner.
Step 9. Go back to Mode and go to the bottom and click Hue, then drag it to your banner.
Step 10. Then after all that, go to File and click Open. Then pick your pokemon that you saved to your Pictures. If it is a Arkeis.com Pokemon Picture, you will have to give Credit to them, i usually use those pokemon because they are really good blending in with the backgrounds i make.
Step 11. Then after you uploaded it, Click Fuzzy Select Tool at the left and click it on the empty spot, not on the pokemon, to make this work, you will need the pokemon behind a white background.(thats why i use Arkeis.com Pokemon Pictures)
Step 12. then go to Select and Click Invert, then go to Edit and press Cut.
Step 13. Then go to your colorful Banner and go back to Edit and click Paste, then it will be there, you may move it wherever you want, and you may resize them too.
Step 14. Then it is the Text, Click that at the left and put what you want, you may change it whatever you like. Then click Rotate Tool and rotate it wherever you lik it to be, it could be in an angle, or upsidedown.
Step 15. After that, your done, just go to File and Click Save, and name it, then put after your title .png
