Do you know any way that you can add spoiler tags when your doing news?Im trying to avoid spoilers.

I tried asking the same thing on the "What do you want from us" thread.
It's true, people out there seriously want spoiler tags.

I don't understand the point of spoiler tags. They clutter the post. They are simply annoying. If you don't want to be spoiled, don't look at the front page and don't look at the B/W area. Its not like you won't come across this information anyways. Most of what would be under the tags is just fan theory.

Clutter? No, they make the overall post shorter. Telling us not to go to the front page is like saying don't visit Pokebeach in general, since you don't know if the first post on the main site is going to be full of spoilers or not. Spoiler tags will let us see what we want to see and let the people who don't want to be spoiled to read exactly what they want to read.

You could, you know, not look at the news story?

Spoiler and YouTube tags for the forums would be way better than for the main page.

Spoiler tags often add pointless buttons and boxes. The format of the pages would have to be somewhat redone to make it look decent. If you go to the front page, don't complain about getting information. That is kinda the point of the internet. Also, you should know by now, if you have the intelligence of a 2nd grader, that pokebeach deals with new information. If you don't like intaking this new information, you shouldn't go to the website.

Also, if a thread is well titled, you should know if there's spoilers. For example, which of the following thread titles do you think would have spoilers:

*Entei Raikou Legend: is it worth it?
*September Coro coro scans leaked!
*Your favorite Pokemon movie?

I dont think Spoiler Tags would be so bad. I know id have to click my mouse to read the news but I think I can handle doing that.

There are news stories about B/W, and there are news stories about other things, like the HG/SS Latios/Latias event, and TCG. Telling someone to stop looking at the front page altogether is unfair. Some people just don't want everything about the new game spoiled for them, and that's just fine.

He knows Pokebeach deals with new information. That's the reason for wanting spoiler tags, Zero.

So anyway, Pokefan4000, mijumarulover, if spoiler tags can't be created, I guess your best bet is to slowly scroll down the page and look at the title of each news post and figure out which ones you want to skip over.

If this means anything, serebii.net, a rival site, has spoiler tags. And they deal with new information JUST like this site.

Spoiler tags will never happen.

I have asked WPM for spoiler tags myself, and he refuses to add them, saying that people come here wanting to be spoiled, and there's no point in adding them for the "5 or so" people who want them.

Just saying.

In addition to what PMJ said, even though Serebii is a rival site, I think we've managed to get by many years without spoiler tags and competed just fine. There's no reason to suddenly add them. Joe has had them for years.

Edit: Lol PMJ. I personally don't think we need them. Everything online is spoilers. We're not responsible or can make you get online, those are your choices.

dmaster out.

I disagree. I am all in favor of spoiler tags. Just because serebii does it doesn't mean we can't, or shouldn't. I think that we _should_ add them. I see them as a courtesy, like most here.

But WPM will absolutely not do it.

Oh dear WPM, we fear we have angered you
*Begins to pray*

I don't want them. Getting spoiled will not ruin the experience.

So...let's say there's this movie you REALLY want to see. This guy comes along and spoils the most important part of the movie. Would you still want to see it, although you pretty much know what happens?
If spoilers didn't matter, then the definition of 'spoilers' wouldn't even exist. You can at least respect the fact that some people don't want to be spoiled.
