Ever done this glitch with Pikachu on the N64 version? The one where Pikachu's Thunderbolt sticks for like 5-10 minutes and when Pikachu is absorbing the attack anyone to touch Pikachu gets a 1 hit KO. This happened a lot on my game when I did infinite time and lives and all the CPU handicaps were set to 1. I loved that glitch.

I much prefer Melee to Brawl, at least as far as competitive battling is concerned -- I'm just not a fan of the slowdown present in Brawl. Of course, with Wifi, it's obviously now much easier to battle competitively via Brawl, but some organizations at my college campus still have Melee tournaments. In Melee, I usually main Captain Falcon. I honestly don't play Brawl enough to even have a main, plus I heard Falcon got nerf'd bad. Suggestions?

Yeah Captain Falcon was nerfed in Brawl. He got somewhat slower and his attacks got weaker (especially FALCOOON PUUUUUNCH!!!).
Marth got buffed (a lot), and Meta Knight is arguably the best character in the game. When I first started the game I chose Pit (since I had gotten used to him in the Subspace Emissary), but then I switched to Marth when I realized he was so powerful.

The thing is his counterpart Ike is actually the strongest character in the game as his attacks do the most damage. Ikes fault is his speed which can get him killed. Some people think Ike has a bad recovery jump but you can do a forward dash then his ather and get back up. That said once you are advanced at playing sonic is arguably the best character since you can hit and run or just stay and fight. Beginners might not be able to control his speed. I'd say the best beginner character and a good advanced character is pikachu because you can thunder forever but van be beaten by pros. A good overall character is toon link. Another is samus but when you become zero suit it becomes a pain cause your attacks are so weak. Also regular link is pretty good. Notice how I listed 6 characters and how you can use six characters on tabuu. Well these characters in the order I listed them are good for me against intense mode tabuu. If anyone wants to challenge me I'll try to find out my friend code.

I beat Boss Mode on Intense with Lucas. Just spam PK Freeze and Lightning. Trololololol good game Tabuu.

I don't really like lucas because of pk stuff err you know what I'm trying to say without raising my warning level. But do you know you're code err whatever it is.

@slickmario: Same. As long as you can get him from the beginning, you're fine.
@Guilty Spark: The strongest character isn't determined by how much damage you can do. It's how effective you can spam their "moveset." It's almost like Pokemon, considering there is Pokemon in the game. Ike can slash Jigglypuff with his sword for 80%, and Jigglypuff can beat it with the Sing + Sleep Combo. I suppose Ike is pretty strong for a new person, but that doesn't mean he's the best.
I'm still trying to beat All-Star on Expert with King Dedede. He messed me up so many times, and I can't even get past Fox, Falco, and Wolf...

Actualy I really think any character can be good but some characters are understandably weak *cough* olimar*cough* ice climbers*cough*mr.game and watch. I'm sure people are going to argue with this but I think the majority would agree. Most of the time though it's not the character it's the player.
