SSB Brawl Discussion Thread

RE: The official Super Smash Brawl thread/characters.

Mewtwo was easy to unlock in Melee. All you have to do is 600 macthes of VS by setting the hit ratio on your CP rivals to 1 and yours at 9 and beat them 600 times and Mewtwo is yours.:)

I think Roy and Marth both are out of the game because Fire Emblem was a hot game for a short while but not like Mario and Zelda. They could be out to make room for other characters.:)

Alot of us have been asking about him and he will be because he was one of the original 12 characters from the first game.:)

Hmmm... well in the Pokeballs, Groudon is the only announced Pokemon. I hope Jirachi or Manaphy make an appearance as one of the Pokeball Pokemon in this one... I wish you could play as Deoxys, that would be cool.

No he is not the only one announced there is aslo Goldeen and Chikorita.They added banana peel to the item list

I'm glad they revealed Zelda to make a return. She was actually quite the fun character to play around with, and her "other side" was one of the top-tier characters to play as.

However, I wonder if they'll make her "other side" Sheik again? I personally think that, with them giving Link and Zelda makeovers to resemble their Twilight Princess looks, it'd be cool if her other form was [spoilers ahead]


Midna instead, considering who she is from Twilight Princess.

And about that Banana Peel......is that going to be about as useful as a bumper was? I mean sure, it's hilarious (and yes, Sakurai, VERY cliche) but if all it does is stop a stupid computer AI from charging at you, it's pretty pointless. However, if it interrupts things like Falcon Kick or Fox/Falco's Warp Dash, then perhaps it'll be more useful than I thought.

Yeah, Alchemisht. That's probably what it's mainly going to be good for. Stopping that annoying speed attack.

The banana peel is such a simple yet clever item. It makes me wonder why it wasn't added in Melee...

Yes that is what I was thinking they would not just put and item in if it was not something that would give you an advantege while you are fighting

It will be nice to have the banna peel.
But, it looks Like the one from DK, hinting that DK will be in it, and possibly Diddy Kong...

It makes me wonder if Bowsers spiny shell will make it to the item list because it was an awesome item for the Mario Kart series. If they do add the item I hope it is a homing shell like the red shell but do 50% damage if it touches you and do 70% if someone throws it directly at you. Now that would be an awesome item to add to the Smash Bros pool of items.:)

Ha, how about Jack from Tim Burton's Nightmre Before Christmas? One of his moves could scare you so much you would be paralyzed by fear for a short amount of time.

Nightmare Before Christmas is currently owned by Disney because of Burton's contract with them, therefore it is in no way associated with Nintendo or any other Japanese gaming company but Square Enix due to Kingdom Hearts. I am a huge fan of Nightmare Before Christmas never the less, but I believe it shouldn't be put in SSBB, it just wouldn't be right. It fits well with Kingdom Hearts though.

I'm hoping the Blue Shell will be in it. It could home into the person in the lead (ie, person with highest score/most coins/most stock/most points).
The name feature is awesome to.

Seeing that you can save your feature to a controler, I wonder if you (as I posted above) could save your charectror dress art that you made your self (if it even will have that feature) onto your controller.
I'm also hoping for more "colors" for team battles.

They did that with the Pokemon Stadium games except you could only do it with Pokemom but that would be a good idea because you could save your costumes to your controller if they make it happen and then you can take your costumes over to your friends house and use the costumes.:)

Wario's Attack's are awesome. If I understand correctly, the motor cycle will only apear once per game?
