SSB Brawl Discussion Thread

RE: The official Super Smash Brawl thread/characters.
I looked at my issue last night again and it is only for the first 4 stages that have come out but they could change that.
EDIT Today at 12:23 AM PST. I changed the thread title to the Official Super Smash Bros Brawl thread. Nothing has changed except the title. Just post like you normally do. I figured since it is everything for Brawl. I thought I should edit the title.

Sadly, no update today.
So my guess is that Aether may either act like Marth/Roy's B (Sword Charge) or Down+B (Counter) moves, in which case you'd gain health equal to the amount of damage you dealt with the attack, along with causing a substantial amount of damage. That or it's his Final Smash, in which case his enemy gets hit with X damage and Ike recovers X damage.
Either way, I freaked out when I saw he was confirmed. He was the #1 character I wanted to be in this game. Now I have an issue to resolve; do I use him first when I already swore Pit would be the character I mastered first?
December 3rd needs to come now.

I don't think this was ever answered, lol. 'Aether' was Ike's special ability when you gave him a certain item. Each character class gained a different special ability with the item, and when Ike's 'Aether' activated, he was granted two attacks in one shot and he recovered any damage that he dealt. It was pretty hawt.

Smoke Ball
This item looks like the item used in the Pokemon GBA games but it has no effect physically on any character but it will block your vision when thrown and it will be hard to see your opponents but it looks like a very cool weapon because you can throw it when an opponent is trying to get back on and it will make it hard to see where to land if thrown right and at the right time. In the hands of an expert it can be a very evil item. Harmless but evil.

Seeing as I don't play item matches, I'm not so concerned with items like the smoke ball. (Although it'd be fun to play a match with all items set off except for it)
Also, it seems that every week they reveal another character. (New or old) I wonder what this weeks character may be.

There will probobly be more than 26 characters this time around. My guess is 25 to 40 characters and I bet they will be harder to unlock than in the previous games. I got all characters in melee by doing 1,000 rounds of VS mode.

Hmm, Aether looks cool and all, but the new update leads me to believe that Roy isn't making the cut. (Sigh)
Eruption is a chargable move, that seems to have nice range, and has a fire element to it; much too like Roy's Flare Blade. I guess this goes as a sign that Ike may be put in there to replace Roy, but keep some of his moves.
Just my opinion.

...how does he manage that in midair? o.o
Kirby I can understand, he's got the sword on him at all times, but Ike just tosses the sword up, and jumps high enough to reach it, in midair.

Hmm.....I hope Roy gets kicked out, whereas I hope Ness gets back in.....I still think that Princess Shroob would make a beyond wonderful character.....You know, since there is supposed to be this good vs. evil thing....Princess Peach vs. Princess Shroob! I can think of all of her moves, too....Oh, and, just so you know, I mean the younger one.
And, yeah, PMJ. One of the many, many mysteries of the Smash.
